Now this in my opinion has been a problem for a long time.Even before COVID19 as I wold see players ping go from 10-40 up to 150 and above.
The rezone i ma complaining is because when people have a ping of higher then 100 it ruins the game for the side which has good ping.This is because stuff like bashes,lights,faints,guard brakes,etc wold be instant meaning you leutraly could not block or counter guard brake.
A example of this is:i was playing with a Shinoby and his ping was fluctuating and from time to tipe he wold guard brake me instantly (like half the gurad brake animation was skiped) so i could not counter it or he wold do one of his kick on an instant.
Another example of this is when i was playing with a Hitokiry in RANKED and she wold teleport all over the arena (i wold roll, look at her ,and then she wold just teleport in front of me and hit me with in a milli second)she had 100-600 ping fluctuation.
So please add a restriction to ping as you did to fps.
There's already a PING restriction, but it's set at 300, when as you said, pings over 100 ruin the game experience. The reduction to the ping cap has been asked many times, but as usual devs don't care about providing a good game experience.Originally Posted by L.k.Dominator Go to original post

Yup, i completely agree. Especially in ranked, ping should be restricted. Actually, ping over 60 when You have around 20 is already working against you, especially when you need to be precise on parries.
Also, there are people who manipulate their in game latency, which can be seen. I'm sorry, but i wont believe in random ping jumps if an enemy has stable 20-30 ping, and only when he enters the fight/throws a combo he suddenly jumps to 150 only to drop down. too suspicious, and didnt seen anything like that in other games.
As of now, i report people in duels and brawls especially, if they have a ping 60/80+. Sorry, maybe an unpopular opinion, but if you cant manage/pay for stable net connection/play fair (depends which case we speak about), playing competetive games is not for you, and shouldnt be your priority.
Maybe if the game didn't work in favour of higher pings, this issue could also be mitigated. If you throw an attack and have 200ms ping, it's not like your attack will start 200ms later (with its regular timing being seen on the enemy's side), but the enemy will start to see it ~200ms later (with a glitching animation), making it practically impossible to react to. Also, as mentioned, when manipulating with latency, this can sort of act like a cheat.
I would say 80~120 Latency maximum but sometime you have players with 20 Latency by example and who lag like someone with 300+ LatencyOriginally Posted by DFQN1 Go to original post
