I believe that the NPCs should follow the same framework as all of us when it comes to skills; with step increases proportional to the difficulty being played and the type of NPC. For example, a red on normal should be able to put down a support station that lasts for 10 seconds that heals 25% vs a red on legendary putting one down that lasts for 30 seconds that heals 75% .. etc.
In legendary missions, the lack of a cool down, scaling, and the overlapping in regards to support stations is ridiculous. The missions are not impossible by any means ... it just seems like the support stations are being used as an artificial time-gate to extend the missions. I would much rather have random spawns, or increased damage, or complex mechanics than a dam box that is put in an impossible location, that is supported by another overlapping box in another impossible location.
So this brings me to my general question: Why is it that other NPC skills, such as the drones, seem to have a cool downs and damage scaling but support stations do not?
I feel if they had cool downs and scaling, they would still present a really fun challenge to the mission that would require teamwork to solve ... rather than today just being nothing more than a time sink that is nothing more than either running up and using sweet dreams to insta-kill, wait to proc, sweet dreams, wait to proc or EMP, kill one dude .. wait to proc, EMP, kill next dude .. etc etc until you clear the room. Not terribly complex, just takes forever!
What do you guys think?
I have done quite a lot of legendaries, and believe it or not in DUA and Capitol Hill on few occasions the NPCs put 3 even 4 stations which cover each other in a pretty large area, making all NPCs in that area literally unkillable. We have pretty optimised builds with very high DPS and we cannot out DPS the healing. So the only way is to charge in, search for the damn stations, destroy them, and eventually stay alive after that, which is highly unlikely. If there was some teamwork involved in solving maybe would be better. Right now in those legendaries, which are supposed to be the hargest thing, there are no mechanics whatsoever. You just sit in a room, kite and kill mobs in the room, go in the next, do the same, rinse and repeat.
