So I am trying to play for honor but it says it can't authorize my ownership. and yes I do own it I got it for free (the started ed and the pts both on steam and I try to link it to my account (Ubisoft) but there is an authentication issue

In the mean time: these sorts of errors are caused by the wrong Ubisoft account being active when launching a game from Steam. Do you have any other Ubisoft accounts that could be linked to your copy of For Honor?

No, not that I know of. To give you a better view of the problem I have it on steam I will sign into my Ubisoft account and then I will click play (on steam). it will ask me if I want to bind for honor to this account I said yes and then it said there was an authentication problem. is there a way to check what account I have linked to it just to make sure?

We cannot reveal the account it is linked to on the forums, but if you contact our Live-Chat team and provide them with a screenshot from this folder on your PC:

- C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\cache\ownership

They can use the information there to locate where the game is linked and help you get back in.
