I would really like to know how the following is justified:
Grenade throwers that can hurl a molotov or grenade with pinpoint accuracy over unrealistic massive distances?
Hammer heavies that hit you from 10m away?
Catching fire through a ******g wall?
Getting shot through walls?
Just wondering. If someone could enlighten me.
So they say. The thing is the spam issue is a larger problem than accuracy. What happens when the accuracy is lower and you inadvertently dodge roll from cover into a grenade that was inaccurately tossed? The grenade tosses are supposed to be accurate, they are not supposed to be spammed 4 or 5 in a row less that a second apartOriginally Posted by Sol3UK Go to original post
I believe the proper response to this is:
Working as intended.
Just face it the NPCs are so borked in this game you either just need to play under those conditions or uninstall.
The content is repetitive so they have to make the NPCs stupidly over powered to create time sinks for
player retention.
Just look at this Division 2 AI development vid in the first 10 seconds of the vid the dev knocks the helmet
off a heavy with 4 rounds from an assault rifle...
Let's see that in the game, oh wait it takes 75 rounds from an LMG to knock his helmet off...
They turned the NPCs up to god level because the game is too thin.
In the past they were more accurate and had arms like Brett farve. Due to complaints and reddit threads with upvotes About how far they could throw and their accuracy, now are truly like farve, with his accuracy. Lol before If the NPCs threw or or launched a grenade you just moved. Simple. Now you may roll into an errant throw. Mistakenly chalked up as accuracy or cheating.Originally Posted by qpMaverickqp Go to original post
They are so inaccurate that catch my leg hesitating to see if it’s on target or not.
Brett Farve’s accuracy... 🤣Originally Posted by Spidey456 Go to original post
Many of these are being investigated, as stated in the latest State of the Game stream (around the 8 minute mark). While some degree of accuracy is understandable across long distances, NPC's throwing a Molotov from a mile away with 100% accuracy is not intended, so adjustments are being investigated.
How about NPC not being able to throw a grenade over long distance. Accuracy of grenade thrown at a proper distance was never a problem, the problem is they are able to throw a grenade accurately from a mile away. Just make it so they can't throw a grenade from a mile away and NPC need to be at a certain distance from the player before they can use grenade, molotov, grenade launcher, etc.Originally Posted by UbiFate Go to original post
That would require the dev team to be aware of and use the the ultra elite programming tool known as "If, Then, Else".Originally Posted by vitarena Go to original post
Very sadly, they have already demonstrated a lack of understanding in that department.
