Coyote's Mask Drop in Jefferson Trade Center

I am currently farming the mission in Jefferson Trade Center to try and get the Coyote's Mask. I have been lucky enough for the boss to drop 2 exotics in my run so far but the mask doesn't seem to drop. I do not own the WONY expansion and I get the feeling that this item was only introduced after WONY came out. Has anyone without the expansion managed to get this mask from this mission? If it doesn't drop if you do not have the expansion I would not want to waste my time running this mission over and over again.

I have the expansion and finished it, and after you beat the expansion you will be introduced into a new level up system unlike gearscore or player level. Then, the seasons(a half-year of in-game activities yet to fully released) will start for you. And most players get their first Coyote's Mask while leveling up in season levels, and you will get the mask from the rewards. After receiving that mask from the seasonal rewards, you will be able to find it drop from the open world or story missions(but Jefferson Trade Center has a much higher chance to drop, because the boss was, well "Coyote")

That means without purchasing WONY or completing the DLC, you CANNOT access season activities. I know for most players this seems to be a dead-on money grab, but all I can do is answer your questions.

    Stay safe out there agent!

Chris is right. You have to have the Warlords expansion in order to get the Coyote mask and the other new exotics from warlords expansion.

The expansion is worth it as that is where the “endless” progression comes into play with the SHD watch levels not to mention level 40 gear and weapons.

Some will say it’s worth it and a few will say it isn’t. All depends on how much you enjoy the game really and only you can decide that

Thanks for the clarification guys...I'll probably get the expansion when it is on sale or something, not really happy with the state of the game right now to get it all full price :P

That is understandable but on the other hand waiting means any progress you make at level 30 is going to be pointless, well besides specialization points but anything else done in game won’t really count much when you do get the expansion.

Even with all the bugs/problems we all still play the game and continue to do so. So clearly it isn’t all that bad. It’s just easy to focus on the bad. Personally I don’t regret buying the expansion. How ever at times I do regret buying the digital ultimate edition but that was long ago.

I don’t see the expansion going on sale anytime soon just for the fact that there are a lot of features added and gear/weapons not to mention the endless progression.

Odds are the game will never be “perfect” but it is playable and you can enjoy yourself playing it. The trick is to not take things to seriously or expect anything to be perfect. I think we forget that a lot.
