Free light after bash | Forums

6 times in the past two weeks, I landed a running bash with the shaman and immediately threw a light, which is supposed to be guaranteed, and it was blocked. Twice against the Raider and 4 times against Black Priors. Any idea why this is happening? I thought all bashes came with a free light.

Timing could be off. That's all.

Spaghetti code. The light IS supposed to be guaranteed, buit sometimes somethikng happens and they regain their block earlier than they should.

Try a zone after the bash if the light doesn't work.

Shaman is a special case since her zone is guaranteed after a bash
I do not know if any other character can do this but I know that shaman can.

There are so many inconsistencies with this game and random things like this happen all the time. I remember back some time ago, someone on these forums mentioned to me that you can actually dodge forward into a Shaman's bash and the extra momentum would consistently push you out of range of the follow up light. And there' so many other things, like the female Tiandi had an extra 5 health compared to the male Tiandi. Centurion's left or right light had less damage than the other directions for no reason. There's a ton of weird things with throws, and so on.
