This is a good message because so not one choice will be completely irellevant to the canon and lore.

But I am thinking how the will made this? I hope its not a lazy explanation like:" oh no the DNA is so broken and hurted we will never find out the real gender of this viking"

Maybe the Animus is a time machine now and can change history. I am exited how the will explain this.

Lore? What lore? Dialog tree options and lore don't go hand in hand, do they? Forget the lore. This is an open world RPG with dialog options, just like Odyssey. We are not heading back to Altair or Ezio.

Thank God for that. That old AC formula got overused.

Well sadly that is true. The Choose and choices doesnt fit in the lore and also the devs doesnt care about it anymore. For me its just bad because if you follow up this series so long for the past years and go really deep in the story of each title its sad that it became pointless with the new titles.

Maybe the secret is in the hermes staff.
At the end of the fate of atlantis,Layla learnt how to use it.Maybe now she is so connectec with it that she get part of his powers. So,when she will relive the memories of Eivor, she can see many simulations, many versions of the same story, many timeline.
In this way every gameplay of every player matches a canon timeline.

    Since Odyssey everything is possible.

I also expect that the made something like time travel and reliving the history in your own way, beside this totally breaks up the entire animus.

It'll probably look a lot like what you see in some of my videos which is from a mod that's built around the character creator they introduced in the Discovery tour but without the different faces. Basically it's hair styles, beard styles for Alexios and there is also a tattoo mod available that I haven't really played around with yet. The main difference will be you'll be able to do it in-game where-as the mods I'm using you have to apply while it's shut down. They are saying it's mainly hairstyles, beards for the male character and tattoos while I assume the face styles will be the same, one for the male and one for the female. With the mods for Odyssey you can also do skin tones, body style and height but I doubt they'll do any of that although I'm sure the modders will come up with something since it's based on the same game engine

The photos for this these mods should give you some idea of what we are going to see as far as hair and beard mods
Player customizations - these are the basic hairstyle, beard skin tone, some accessories etc.

    Tattoo mods for Kassandra

Izu Custom Markings I doubt these will be available but they illustrate how the texture overllays will work

There are also removers for the Daughters of Artemis face paint and another that adds new facepaint schemes ..... I used the paint remover mod lot and sometimes also apply to the Daughters themselves ...... There are some limitations to what they can do because a lot of the assets mainly clothing/armor are shared between the player characters and NPCs so they can make everything fit into the limited storage and memory space available on game consoles ...... Game engines such as the ones used by Skyrim and Witcher 3 are "Compile at runtime" scripting engines which while being more moddable aren't as efficient as the game engine in AC games which seems to be more precompiled but that allows you to make more complex game world like you see in Unity, Origins and Odyssey. In Skyrim and Witcher 3 you can mod the environment and buildings themselves (and they need it, especially Skyrim) but in Ubisoft's more complex and detailed enviroments it isn't possible and usually isn't necessary because they are already quite good to begin with

As anyone who does game design or even engineering designs like I do knows you have to make compromises and decide which things are more important to you as a creator/designer and Ubisoft's choice for AC games is the more complex environments over player customization ...... That is especially true when trying to make things work in the limited memory resources and CPU/GPU power and speeds in the current generation of consoles which are really showing their age these days .... It's truly a balancing act and to make a larger world as in Origins and Odyssey they had to do things like cut the number of NPC's compared to say Unity which had massive crowds (Which I personally didn't like because I'm a country boy and part American Indian who likes the wide open and less crowded spaces) that take up a lot of headroom ..... I expect a lot of that to go away with the new generation eventually but not at first because everyone want backwards compatibility with the current generation and to do that compromises will have to be made but in a couple of years when new games will only run on the new consoles we should really see things open up just like we did a couple of years after the PS4 and Xbox One came out

I will play the female Eivor like I did with Kass in Odyssey since as a girl I prefer to play as a girl when I have the occasion. I'm glad they found a way to make both of them canon. Hopefully, it means we won't have drama like in Odyssey :P

Eivor happens to be a largely female name by the way. From what I scoured online there aren't many examples of it being used as a male name.

So to be accurate, Eivor is female.
