Also having choices isn't SJW nonsense as you put it. That doesn't even make ay sense.
In how AC was told, it's some non sense in fact, because you're supposed to live the life of your ancestor, not make it, but you could justify that by "yes but the choice we make in the past was the one the ancestor make" but well, you could explain almost everything with that so, meh

Why is there a choice between playing as a male or female in a lot of games today?

    Simple answer .... Capitalism ....

It means you can potentially double your users and double your sales by being more inclusive .... Why would any business not do that?

I'm old enough (61) to remember when you never saw an African American in TV ads .... Then Martin Luther King came along and with the Montgomery bus boycott he proved what an economic force the African American community in America really was ..... A couple of decades later you were more likely to see an African American than Caucasians in Nike or Adidas shoe ads and more in all advertising in general

We are seeing the same thing in gaming basically and while they may lose a relative handful of misogynists the gains in overall audience override them 100 times over ......

Idk what "misogynist" mean in English, but in some language it mean "the hate of women", so, wanting to play a man OR a woman (and not for marketing reason ofc) is a bad thing? Who complained for Aveline? Evie? And I don't talk about Shao because it's on smratphone so "nobody" must have played it, but it seems like this kind of of comments are here to ashame and denigrate the arguments opposite

    Let's cool it, people.

Currently, we don't know what the explanation for the protagonist is, nor why they're both called "Eivor". I too am looking forward to more information on this, but in the meantime I don't think there's anything to really get worked up about.

I didn't point a finger at anybody, just stating the facts from a business standpoint and the facts are there are still a significant number of Misogynists in the Gaming Community just like any other part of society .... 15 minutes on Reddit proves that fact ..... Pretending they don't exist is actually part of the problem just like pretending Racism doesn't exist

For instance in the TV ads example companies that started using African Americans lost some customers that were Racist but the gains overrode those losses 100 fold because they were the true minority just like misogynists are a minority in gaming

If you thought I was talking about you when I wasn't that's not my problem, that's yours and you may want to ask yourself why you thought I was talking about you when I quoted no one or have never even responded to anything you've posted

I don't know but it's funny to see this argument of constant misoginy, and we should see what we call misogynist, because not wanting 90% of a Viking woman in combat is not misoginy, and I don't would not trust "controlled" networks like Reddit to base my point of view, and to pretend that it was not as common is not to pretend that it does not exist

I think that it is not so much a problem of misoginy / racism it would be rather that in the lot there are some who do not care as such

And no I did not think that you were talking about me, I did not feel targeted at all, I was just saying that, in my native language, because I am French, misoginy still has a strong correlation, we talk about hate , contempt, women, seen as inferior see useless

But if you want to respond to what makes you think that, from one I was targeting you personally with this remark, from two, which made you think that I would have felt targeted

It was only a simple observation, the word misoginy I see it a lot here and it is not supposed to be common, we are talking about something definite
