"Exotics are meant to change our play style"

Yep, it's another drunken rant from me, the "23 day old player" that voices ****.

42 runs of The Stranded Tanker, hoping, no, near praying (as an atheist I do believe in RNGesus) for a drop of the Imperial Dynasty Holster (pat on the back for remembering the name) I get the BTSU Datagloves..........................

Regardless of my rage for the drop, I can console myself with the fact I actually got an Exotic after 42 runs and 2 weeks of nothing, but thats not the point of this thread, which I'm sure most will be already bored of.

So, exotics are meant to change our play style and all that bull. Tell me, what build is appropriate for the BTSU Datagloves talent?

Who, in their right mind, throws/drops a hive to then cancel it to:

    Why? Why? Oh why?

Sure, I'm 99% solo, but even if I equipped these in a group I'd struggle to justify their use.

"I'm a healer, I got you guys, no actually I'm going to kill my healing hive so you can have overcharge and all your skills are refreshed" - Yeah, no, not in this game.

I can totally see how this would change my play style to, not playing at all. Great job.

Lol, can see your point, think these were designed around team synergy to be worn by a a member of the team to boost skill players to overcharge, in over 460 SHD levels since WONY I have not seen anyone using them. I wish they would put back the old talent or do what they did for Sawyers knee pads and give then an offensive talent for the wearer.

If they changed it to your hive is destroyed or runs out of charges it would be ok.

The gloves are only useful in the raid atm to overcharge your pulse for more damage.

It is usefull in legendaries and raid.

For example I use BTSU gloves in my healer build in DUA near the end in the room where you can shoot through the window... A lot of guys spend their revive hives there and I just cancel my planted hive at a proper time to refresh their cooldowns and I also get overcharge that filles back my charges really fast and I can deploy the hive again.

So in that case you really want control when you will get that overcharge and you don't want to rely on when charges will be spent or the hive destroyed.
It actually works well but has very niche role.

Well I agree the exotics are very underwhelming... I recently got a Bighorn and only reason to put it on is to flex, lol.

But out of all of them the BTSU gloves actually do change my playstyle a bit but I will admit its situational. I run them when using a healing build and detonate my hive to restore cooldowns of DPS revive hives as well as provide any CC or skill DPS overcharge. I only use healing tho situationally in the raid and sometimes in legendary Capitol building.

One of my team mates has that. They are a gunner who does not stack into skills. All they do is throw there own useless low level hive and overload all the max skill players in the team. Its a way for a gunner to support and boost his skill based team mates.

The BTSU gloves have been destroyed compared to what they were before. I really don't see any point in farming for them because I'd just deconstruct them. I am sure wearing a pair of mittens would be of more benefit.

I'm actively avoiding most exotics, so I guess you could say that it did in fact change my playstyle. :P

Among all exotic gears only Coyote's mask is worth of wearing, other exotics are not that much.
