Danes and Germans a century or 2 earlier where Christian by now? The natives long submitted to their invasions and rules. While the early invaders adopted their own social culture in return.
    So the Vikings invaded invaders?

Basically all the tribes that invaded Britain were Nordic/Germanic. Then again, most of Europe was under Germanic rule since the 5th or 6th century AD. Visigoths in Spain, Ostrogoths in Italy and the Western Balkans, Germanic tribes all over France, Germany etc. etc.

Hey Olympus2018, another thing I am intersted in is seeing the Vikings and their Norse paganism interact with the Saxons and their Christianity. Darby said in the interview that the Norse Gods were important to their every day life, praying, gift offering and seeing that clash with the Saxons and Christianity will be interesting

I don't know if Christianity and/or Islam were ever explored in the series. It wouldn't make sense since the Templars would have to be Christians while the Assassins would be basically Islamic jihadists and the lore is utterly different from historical reality. So, I doubt that there will be deep interaction between Pagans and Christians in Valhalla.

Yeah but the Romans did not reach Scotland, unlike other tribes from the Old Continent which made it all the way to the North...

Yeah the Romans reached what is now Scotland, there's a geological fault ran from East to West, the Romans built a wall on top of this fault (Hadrian's Wall) The wall is now the border between Scotland & England. So the Romans manned this wall, their enemies to the North & East, the romans named 'Picti' or Picts (Painted or tattooed people) are the tribes that prevented rome from conquering mainland brittain. I can't remember the dates & order of events, they made in-roads & built Antonine Wall a few miles further North, They also built a fort/stronghold in the Northeast which they held for a while. The picts fought a battle at Mons Graupius on Roman terms, the picts suffered a massive defeat with huge losses. From that point on, the picts switched to guerrilla tactics, Romans couldn't handle them, they retreated back to Hadrians wall often. New Roman emporers/Commanders fancied their chances. Came back to face the Picts, this lasted over centuries. But the mighty Roman Empire got their butts kicked by a bunch of scantily clad male & Female warriors. THE END.

Then a few centuries later, the Vikings tried the same, & same old story. Picts suffered some losses, but overall, those painted male & Female warriors kicked the Vikings butts. It's crazy, that the nearest land as the Vikings sailed west would have been 'Pictland'! Their Ravens must've had a problem with their satnav's, because the big bad scary Vikings, took the long way round the North of Scotland & took all those islands to the North, West & NorthWest. Slaughtering innocents & taking the women as sex slaves. That's why I have zero respect for the Norse in this era!!!
