You made no mention that you understood there is still a release date of June for the TU in your original post so you may want to dial back the condescending attitude a bit.
I also don't see people saying Ubi said anything other than what they did in this latest news. .....which is really not much to be honest.Originally Posted by Player-fdc1d Go to original post
I'm honestly having a hard time seeing this as a move in the right direction. They essentially told us the AI team is expected to be released sometime this Summer which could be anytime between June through Aug or Sep. .....fine but then there are no details about what they have planned for the AI teammates, new content, Ghost Experience changes or much else for that matter.Originally Posted by AI BLUEFOX Go to original post
We also know the TU will release (expectedly) in June to fix bugs. .....many issues folks have been living with since the game released 8 months ago.
These are the same vague news bits we have always received even during the GRW days. I hate to sound cynical and nothing against you personally but I'm struggling to interpret this as a step in the right direction in regard to better, open communication regarding the state of the game, etc.
There really weren't though Chris. At least, nothing like Breakpoint in regard to polish, lack of content, etc. I know we disagree on this topic but that wasn't my experience at all. GRW was a complete game at launch and it played that way in the betas I participated in before preordering it. After the first update that introduced the new HUD options shortly after launch, it plays essentially the same way now as it did back then. .....not counting the content like the themed crossovers, Tier One mode, Ghost Mode, etc.Originally Posted by Virtual-Chris Go to original post

In UBI's own words, this is more of the exact same, and they're not showing any intent to do anything but keep it like this.
I could iterate my post, but you can look up to re-read it. This "communication" gives us nothing, except more of the same. But don't take my word for it. There's a whole forum just for their news. This latest addition to it is in lock step with every post before it.We’ll continue to do our best to keep things moving forward as usual.
Or if you don't want to exposed to that much incompetence at once, you can pick any thread with a Ubi response to it.
You saw Van's post this morning as well. It includes a fantastic summary what what we've received in the past, and then again today.
Today's post isn't a step in any direction. It's a continuation right down the same track.Originally Posted by igrvks Go to original post
Help us help Ubi understand that they don't have to have a definite answer to "when" before they can give us answers to "what".
Keeping on your topic of team AI:
What is the plan with them?
What are their ideas on how to introduce them? Log in one day and *poof* you have three teammates? Complete a new mission to unlock them?
What controls are they working on for them? Cross com? Soul swap? RoE?
What customization options are they looking into? Outfit changes? Weapon changes?
What other player controlled options will come along with the addition? Can we choose no AI team? Can we choose 1, or 2, or 3 AI?
What else will they be doing to make the team AI relevant? Will there be behavior changes to the enemy AI to match the strength that the team will add to the player?
But not just limited to the team AI. Other things we still have zero information on:
What are their ideas for expanding or tuning immersive mode?
What are their ideas for the myriad of UI and menu issues?
What are their ideas for the character smith?
What are their ideas for the gunsmith?
What are their ideas for PvP expansion?
What are their ideas for Quality of Life improvements?
How about information on things that they have broken, or removed form the game with every failed patch? Or other projects that they started on and never finished(Correct magazine types on vests, anyone?)? How about a single answer to any of these:https://forums.ubisoft.com/showthrea...ommunicate-now?
If they want our feedback like they claim they do, then they need to get it from us before it's to late, again(again).
What kind of feedback can be given to "June" and "Summer"?
Kean, how is it that you persistently manage to post not a single word I disagree with?Originally Posted by Kean_1 Go to original post![]()
Based on track records live service games are definitely taking a while to become fully featured, about a year is right. I think studios underestimate the amount of work needed on the back end to build the technology to support online service games. But there's also evidence of studios turning things around.
Once we get the year 1 content out the way I'm hoping year 2 will be completely focussed on improving and expanding the gameplay experience. Not so fussed for story as I am for depth and replayability.
There's a fair bit of work going into the episodic content which will be sapping resources but they need to get it across the line.
By the time we get to the end of year 2 I expect the game will be much more fully fledged and fleshed out. Yes should need to be the case but we are where we are.

Less is more, fix 1 problem quick instead of trying to fix 20 problems in two months and break 10 more in the attempt and fix 1 or 2. Saying that you have fix the issue does not translate into being fixed.
Yep, that's pretty much it or, in the case of breakpoint, wait 4 months and get it for less than 10 bucks.Originally Posted by Virtual-Chris Go to original post

The thing is, the TU 2.0.6, will likely be released in early June, but it won't include much, just like 2.0.3. Then I suspect that we will get a proper TU 2.1.0. which will include the next Live event and AI, at the end of June 23rd-30th), since "summer" starts on Monday June 22nd.. Remember when people were freaking out when they simply said that Episode 2 would be released sometime in the Spring, only to have it released a few weeks later, on the second or third day of Spring. That would leave Episode 3 to release at the end of July to early August, the last Live event dropping in September. Since they've written off May, it only leaves them four months to release three major updates. After all , Ubi isn't going to want to be the first company, that failed to deliver Year One content, within the first calendar year..
