While i do agree with that in principle, history has already proven that even when they hold back patches and give themselves longer to fix they still release buggy. Maybe it's time they try and get a faster return of smaller fixes. People already have lost all faith in their ability to fix things maybe it's time to change how they actually approach the way they address fixes because their track record is pretty dire.Originally Posted by Stomp0nMybaIls Go to original post
Agreed..... Customers shouldn't have to wait this long for bug fixes. They should have been implementing more of them along the way as they find solutions.Originally Posted by D.O.Double_G. Go to original post
I follow several games on Twitter to catch news of updates, etc. I see Infinity Ward interacting with their community identifying bugs, openly acknowledging them and then in many cases, releasing fixes for them within hours. With Ubi, it seems they almost always wait to release them in the next TU which can be months away.
Thanks for the post buddy. It's good they at least communicated 2 months prior to release. June is understandable due to the current crisis. However I think Breakpoint is in dire need of newer content to make the game feel fresh and new. Not in terms of missions, but guns, cosmetics, etc. I think those are fastest thing the debs can pump out to make the current game feel new rather than Overhauling it. Although I would love an Overhaul.
Agreed, I still subscribe to the idea of letting developers take their time with games and updates, so I have no problem finding another game to play for the month, like others posted above plenty of games are updating right now, so there is a lot of choice on the market.Originally Posted by SaviorBasedGod Go to original post
The only problem with the wait for some is that the longer Ubi takes to even fix the bugs in their game for those currently complaining about them, their interest in it dwindles. For folks like me who are waiting for more details on what these changes will even mean in relation to the gameplay to see if the game is worth buying/revisiting, my interest is also dwindling especially since we are inching closer to other releases that may scratch that tactical shooter itch like Sandstorm.
My point is that if they were more forthcoming with the details about what they are doing with the team AI, the additional changes planned for the Ghost Experience, etc. I might have reason to look forward to this June, this Summer and beyond.
The only real takeaways from this for me is that we finally have an "expected release" for the team AI sometime this Summer (June - August or even as late as September depending on the calendar used) and a Live Event 2 in the same time frame. ......and I could really care less about the latter.
The fact that they are still "synthesizing" the feedback they compiled and released details about more than 5 months ago is not encouraging. .....to me at least. .....and then the fact that they are actively working on new content that they (again) won't share details regarding until they are about to release it.
I get it..... Some news is better than no news but let's be honest, this is the bare minimum of information here and follows the same pattern people have been complaining about with them. Nothing has really changed in that respect IMO/IME.
