However, many retailers will allow you to cancel an order before it is shipped. I would check with the retailer you pre ordered from if you can cancel the PS4 version and pre order the PS5 version instead when information is released.

We won't be able to pre-order it until Sony announces the release of the PS5. If I am not mistaken you can play the PS4 version on the PS5 and have it updated for free.

What about the ubishop? if i preorder the PS4 CE from the ubishop will i be able to change it for the PS5?

I asked Ubisupport this question, but unfortunately there is no information about this at this time.

"Pre-order items
Pre-order of eligible physical products may be cancelled up to 15 days before the official release of the title in question. Pre-Orders begin shipping ahead of the official release to target delivery on Day One. As such, once we are within 15 days of release, we cannot cancel your pre-order as our processing centers are preparing orders for shipment."

Then i think we could simply preorder the PS4 version and then if they don't let us change the preorder we can simply ask for a cancellation.

I would assume that this is indeed possible. I would contact Ubisupport and ask them though, just to be sure.
