Stay ahead of the AI. Mission NPCs -- for the most part -- execute a maneuvering script at certain points (ie. contact) of the narrative. They are often vulnerable (no immunity) at these points. In the case of Keener, if you fail to drop him within the first few seconds of engagement, you're in for a headache. He'll keep spamming skills that, if not dealt with immediately, will accumulate and overwhelm you (deal damage at a higher rate than your ability to both heal and maintain focus on doing the same to him). I also observed that there is a higher rate of Keener deploying skills that you have equipped, regardless of their status. If you want to mitigate this, I suggest equipping the decoy skill, since there is no respective damage output. This shifts the fight towards firearms.
I did die in that room on my first story mode attempt.Originally Posted by eskimosound Go to original post
Pretty much the trick is to keep watching and listening when the boxes deploy the skills. Every skill shows a red silhouette of where it is being placed. This gives you the opportunity to shoot them before they can deploy. A strong gun build can often just destroy them as they are placed. The airburst seekers and artillery turrets can be a real pain. The airbursts are often placed very close to you as are the regular seekers. The Drones and artillery turrets are farther and have to be hunted. The trick is destroying each of these devices as they are spawned. You really need to look out for the red silhouettes, they are your only indicator for where a lot of the most deadly skills are being placed.
Destroy them as they are spawned and you should make it through the fight okay. Patch up when needed. It is an annoying fight to say the least.
Oh that room?Originally Posted by eskimosound Go to original post
Yea,just stay out of the center area of the room and more behind the half wall type cover..Stay in one spot and shoot the stuff as it comes to you..it won't last long..
you can AR and pistol most all of that stuff pretty easy..
if you run all over the place there,it's like stirring a bee's nest..just let it all come to you and shoot it soon as it lands or flies or rolls to you..
It's only a couple minutes long if that..maybe even a minute.
HE's TALKING ABOUT THE ROOM WITH ANNA GUYS...Originally Posted by eskimosound Go to original post

.......................i used pulse jammer with shield on my alt.. which i ran up last weekend to level 40.
That makes it easier.. and my PJ as only skill tier 2.
I thought that I caught on to this. I was guessing he was talking about that area.Originally Posted by zigMAGNA Go to original post
I had a skill build character with all my skill gear that I had taken from my main. I was able to jam the room for a while with all 4 boxes jammed at once. A strong enough pulse jams the boxes as well if I remember correctly.
Yeah, but given that that's the relatively easy part, I thought he'd benefit from some preemptive planning for the finale. LOLOriginally Posted by zigMAGNA Go to original post![]()
