I feel like I made this exact post on the Division 2 forums unfortunately. The entire game is a bunch of really really good stuff and then some just horribly bad decisions that make me ask if you even have a single person on your management team who has ever played the game on PC.
The bad:
- Why are you "creating presets" with items I get and wear, and making me "remove" them before breaking down?
- Why does the UI flag me to "Optimize gear" that is the same numeric value as the pieces I have on, but newer?
- Why am I unable to simply right click an item in my inventory to use it?! Why must I add it to the "hot items" list?!
- Why am I getting endlessly spawning SAM missile silos north of Camp Tiger? Ive destroyed 5, not even left the area, and they keep respawning, shooting missiles at me 28m off the ground.
- Why are snipers in the towers such deadeyes even on Normal difficulty?
- Why do I not have a "Don't reset the stupid area of enemies on immersive mode" when I move 2m out of it? For that matter, why isn't there a "dont respawn enemies period" option? And an "offline" since its solo player PVE immersive?
- If the wolves have map jammers when I get tagged by drones, why dont they use it all the time on missions?
The good:
- Graphics are pretty damned good everywhere. With 9900k OC'd and 2080ti still don't hit max fps on 1440p
- Open world itself is chock full of places/things to do, so much so it can be overwhelming.
- Engine plays pretty smoothly, not as fast as Division 2 but still pretty well.
- Vehicles are really well done and not too stupid OP like they are on some other games.
- Configurable AI settings on a modular basis are very nice and should be a standard for games going forward.
- Entire game premise is believable and solidly done. In immersive mode there is immersion, except during the bad list.
