Am I the only one on the Templars side in this?

No because so is our father in heaven, DEUS VULT!

    Super hyped for this!

Some thoughts on trailer and recent interviews:

This will be the biggest launch in the series’ history. I have nothing to go on but I just “feel” it. A lot of goodwill based on the last few games plus the setting seems to have everyone hyped.

The trailer was exciting. I can see why it's trending. No one quite does cinematic trailers like Ubisoft. Although the Lana Del Rey-ish music in these sorts of trailers are clichéd.

The combat won't be as gory and blood soaked as the trailer but I wish it was because I think it suits it.

Not really a fan of this revisionist history of trying to make out Vikings are misunderstood caring protectors as opposed to rapists, murderers and thieves.

We know that Eivor is the canon protagonist. What we don't know is what sex is canon. They’re being cagey about that.

I like the Eivor's hair and look overall. I have a good feeling about him in general for some reason. I think it’s because he reminds me of Charlie Hunnam lol . If Eivor is not fully customisable, might go with him as I’m not keen on the female version I’ve seen so far…

The “shields!” part made me laugh so hard. Such fan service. I could imagine the collective orgasms. I'm sure /hope shields will be an option so I can avoid using it at every opportunity... Shields are a crutch IMO.

The part with the guy in the hood and the hidden blade reveal made me roll my eyes. I know exactly how the story is going to go because Ashraf and co already pulled this with Black Flag and Origins: the lead is going to spend a great deal of the time being anything other than an assassin and then at the very last moment wiil say, "hey, I wanna be an assassin." Title cards. We know this song. It's getting old. As soon as the interviewer started talking about assassins suddenly it was, “oh we can't talk about spoilers” which is code for “we don't want to upset traditionalists”. I wouldn't hold out much hope for modern day either but then I was done with modern day after Atlantis. Comments about present day were very vague as usual. Same PR fed lines.

Love the settlement building idea. Love base building/recruitment/staff management systems in general.

    In conclusion: hyped.

I don't care about sides. I'm on my own! I would just love it if you're able to kill anybody, English or Viking, except obviously for characters that have a line or two. If I get this game I don't give a monkey's for the story. I'll do the opposite of how I normally play, & just rattle through it without listening to the BS story. Then carry on through the world completing whatever challenges they dreamt up & go for quick platinum!

yet they have dismemberment and beheading in the game.

That was supposed to represent Odin, not an assassin. so what are you even talking about

    @LongJohn119

The game has a Dragon's dogma pawn system that allows you to create and customize raiders for your friends to use during the game

Nice trailer. Lots of questions, one of the worst soundtracks i've ever heard in a "AAA" title.

I would LOVE to buy the Collector’s Edition but Ubisoft doesn't let me

    Hi guys,
And thanks again for creating so many amazing games for us to play. Saw the trailer for AC Valhalla, uau!

I’m writing here because honestly, I’ve tried different channels and no one seems to reply.
I’m based in Portugal, and a while ago (can’t say when) Ubisoft decided not to ship more collectibles and videogames collector’s editions here.
I’m a collector and I support Ubisoft by purchasing these editions and collectibles, and by playing your videogames (you’re the devs I have more games from by far).

The last purchase I was able to make in ubistore was the AC Odyssey Pantheon Edition & the Starlink starter pack for PS4. Since then, I dunno what happened, who decided that Portugal was not worth to be in the Ubisoft map, but I was deprived of purchasing these editions as any other player. Spain is our neighbor country, they have a ubistore. France, same. Italy, same. Germany, same. UK, same. Is Portugal that far and ******ed in terms of logistics that we can’t have collector’s editions, statues and other collectibles shipped here?... I don’t think so.

I know you guys will reply that it’s not your competence, that these decisions came from above, to write in the forums (which as no use to solve this to be honest), etc. I really don’t wanna hear that anymore. What I want is the right, as any player in Europe, to have access to your items. It’s like I’m begging to buy from you, this is insane!... it should be the other way around, but I’m fine with that.

I also would like to point that, I won’t stop bugging your support teams from several countries, until one day you’ll change this non-sense policy again and put Portugal as a country where all the items from your stores can be shipped here. I’m not kidding.

I would much appreciate an honest reply. And above all, to have the right to purchase the editions I so love to collect (and play).

Thanks for your time and I wish you guys a great day 😎
