    Far cry Arcade freezing (unplayable)

I've posted this problem before and received no help.

The arcade freezes every time when i enter it. It freezes on the option menu where you choose what maps you want to search for e.g most played, top rated etc
This has been happening for months now and Ubisoft support has been completely useless.

The game does not completely freeze as the music stills plays and the background animation still scrolls, however I am unable to do anything like select a category on the menu or even scroll through the menu options.

I have no internet issues and no error codes appear, the game doesn't even kick me to the dashboard i have to exit the game myself.

I would appreciate some hep this time

I think the menu downloads map/thumbnail information (invisible) even if you just open the filter (search) screen. Sometimes this process blocks the rest of the responsiveness, until one page worth of map information is loaded.

I'm not too familiar with consoles, but if you waited several minutes & the system is still unresponsive, maybe you could look into clearing your console cache. Not sure if that may help, but I found this as a possible way to do this.

Hey Pugglesworth985, Steve brings up good points!

Give it a few minutes. If it is still freezing, please run through this FAQ as it may help performance.

Thanks for responding, I have done what steve has suggested and thought that it would work, even kicked myself because its pretty obvious. Unfortunately this didn't resolve the issue, the same thing still happens and I even waited a long time to see if it would eventually load but the game remained frozen.

The troubleshooting that you have suggested is the same methods i got sent last time I posted this problem, none of these fixed the issue back then and I have tried them again with no success. Not sure what to do at this point.

Do you have the game installed on your Xbox HDD or a portable HDD?

I'd recommend installing it on the Xbox HDD if it's not on there already as that sometimes causes issues.

As you advised it freezes on the option menu where you choose what maps you want to search for, it sounds like this could be related to connectivity as the game is trying to pull information from the servers. Can you try the steps here please:

If the issue persists please let us know.

    Thanks!

Honestly I'm no tech wiz, so when this link starts talking about port forwarding and putting my console in DMZ, then I'm at a loss. I don't get why I have to go through all of this just so I can play the whole other half of this game. It has been happening for a long time now and I'm pretty sure it only started doing back when Ubisoft last updated the game, before then everything worked fine.

Seems like I might just have to give up at this point and just hope that Far Cry 6 isn't this tedious.

I appreciate that it can be frustrating to go through all of the troubleshooting steps provided, and that you may need to contact your ISP for help with some of them. We wouldn't suggest these steps if we didn't feel that they could potentially fix the issue for you. Network environments change frequently and this can be a common cause of this issue.
