Hi devs! It would be more realistic if we get stat bonuses from equipping cosmetic gears. For example, head protection, wearing hard helmets gives you protection from fall and sliding damages off cliffs. or equipping a specific outfit like the ghillie suit gives you + stealth bonuses when hiding in bushes, different gloves give you bonuses in reload speed and handlinf etc. I think this system will make acquiring these gears matter and not just for the purpose of cosmetics.
You bring up an awesome point. I definitely like your ideas with the gear and how they could allow players certain attribute boosts based on gear type. The mention of the ghillie suit, helmet, and gloves seemed to be the most realistic and plausible. In the real world, certain gloves will actually allow for better handling and dexterity when it comes to weapon use. Take for example different types of shooting gloves. Some will allow for very light protection in trade for better weapon handling and dexterity while others will do the exact opposite by providing much better protection but also limiting the user's ability to maintain control or lose fine tuned manipulations of the weapon being used. One can see this when looking at how weapon parts like magazine release buttons, charging handles, and fire selectors being made to accommodate those in fields that require protection while using a weapon in the line of duty. Even implementing a system where it might benefit the player to wear certain types of gloves in certain environments. Thinking of all the various geographical locations used and how they vary from one another, a perfect example could be that of a player that has to maybe wear some cold weather gloves in order to maintain feeling in his/her hands in order to provide for better weapon manipulation. Just like in real life, shooter begins to lose feelings in his/her fingers and all simple weapon manipulations become much slower.
I like your mention of the ghillie suit and how as of now it does not seem to add any sort of additional concealment from enemy human or drone AI. The ghillie by far should definitely be one of the best camo devices in the game. Ultimately all the other available camos and gear should have some sort of concealment buff added to them based on the environment the player will be in. Common sense would say that green camo gear and clothes should allow for higher stealth in green environments, snow camo gear and clothes conceal better in snow environments, desert gear and clothes conceal better in desert or brown environments, and of course dark camo should work better during the night especially when remaining in non-lit areas.
