First of all, I would like to thank whoever came up with the idea for DZ exclusive drops. I realized that developers and content creators want people to experience everything that they have created. I also like the concept of the DZ. I do not, however, like the idea of having to farm for weeks with crap RNG in a place where it is the only way to get the one peace of gear that many would consider mandatory for a good pistol build.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the single worst experience I’ve had playing the division. I certainly know the rogue agents that made off with my loot, the Claws Out holster, that finally dropped for me after WEEKS of farming (I have a limited schedule) would like to thank you too. No more DZ for me, and you guys should really consider making all items drop anywhere. I know I was getting every holster that drops in PVE in the DZ, which seems a bit screwed to me.
Stuff like this is slowly making me loose interest in what I might otherwise consider one of the best games I’ve played in a while. Bugs and all. I know I’m not alone in this thought process. If everything can drop in the DZ, then everything should drop in PVE. I’m just dropping my gripe here with one last thing... Let the people that want to troll people in the DZ troll other trolls. Let those of us that wish to play the game without having our loot we farmed for WEEKS stolen... did I mention it took weeks?

Thank you for your thoughtful and insightful comment. I could be argued, of course, that neither Raid nor DZ should have exclusive loot. In Div1 all but three (useless) legendaries were gated behind the DZ. Also only 4% of the total player Div1 base ever extracted even one item, despite the DZ being there from day 1. The DZ was that popular. I am not arguing against the existence of a DZ, just the loot that is gated behind it.Originally Posted by As1r0nimo Go to original post
After losing all but 3% of the player base the devs considered that perhaps their strategy wasn't working. Div1 v1.8 introduced a number of vital changes and additions, including allowing all the legendaries previously locked in the DZ to be dropped from LZ bosses. Boss hunting for the legendaries became extremely popular.
In addition to the other changes, releasing the legendaries to give the PvE-only players something to aim for revitalised the game. Just in time for the release of Div2 where all the lessons learnt were forgotten and have to be learned the hard way. Again. Even Div1 didn't have to be reduced in price to 3 dollars to sell it.
Sorry to hear that you lost your loot, but that is the DZ. That feeling you have right now, that's what the Devs want you to have. They want you ticked off and hating. Hating them, hating other players, hating the game. You decide to leave, they don't care, they already got paid. You decide to get ticked off, the trolls will feast on your salt.Originally Posted by Terminalspeaker Go to original post
At this point you need to decide are you going to beat the game (have fun and play) or let the game and the trolls beat you. I say keep playing and don't let it get to you, the trolls are going to say and do whatever it takes to push you out. Either way, Ubi/Massive is going to stack the game against everyone. They nerf everything and they will reset players builds and nerf all gear. Their RNG may or may not ever give you what you looking for.
Simple fact, you paid for the game. Don't let no one decide when it's time to move on unless you want to move on.
I rarely go to the DZ, but I completely agree with this... There's absolutely nothing wrong with loot being locked behind certain activities, especially not loot you can easily do without.Originally Posted by As1r0nimo Go to original post
Actually, they shouldn't be locking loot. That's the dumbest idea and they keep going to it. They did this in TD and they didn't learn a thing. As stated before, there should be multiple options for getting loot. So they need to quit locking loot behind Raids or DZ or Conflict, but yet they think it's a good idea. Simple truth, all it does is divide an already divided playerbase.Originally Posted by As1r0nimo Go to original post
As far as I see it, a significant number of people do not set foot in the DZ for anything. Yet the PvP crowd can set foot in the raids and heroic anything they want to. Why should the largest part of the player base be penalized for the Smallest part of the player base? As I said before, every item that drops in the LZ sure as **** dropped in the DZ while I was farming for those gloves. And that is the ONLY thing I want from that place. I even went back about an hour later and guess what? The same rogues we’re still in there and camping the entrance. Fun isn’t it?
