This a major issue for me. So many games fall in line with this same thing. If immersion is such a big thing for Ubisoft then they should work on that rather than continuously trying to copy other games. The GR franchise has thrived on it's attention to immersion, why should that change with Breakpoint? If loot levels and raids appeal to some people then go play The Division (1 and/or 2).
Couldn't agree with you more! It is rediculous to know that there are older games out there that allow this option and yet in 2020, that somehow Ghost Recon, one of the oldest military shooter franchise still hasn't gotten it right. When COD: MW 2019 came out I was blown away at the amount of objects that you as a player were allowed to rest you weapon on. It was such an awesome experience and mimicked a lot of real world shooting aspects.Originally Posted by SnakePlissscan Go to original post
I've spent years in the long range shooting community and thought to myself, why in the world did it take so long for the military shooter genre to get this right? Bipods is only scratching the surface. In real world scenarios, a shooter is not always going to find themselves in the prone. The situation and weapon at hand will always dictate how the shooter will engage and will dictate what they might use as a quick support to stabilize their weapon. Ubi could easily look up some long range shooting competition videos on YouTube to get an idea as to what real world shooters are using for supports regardless whether the shooter is prior military, law enforcement, hunter or just plain shooting enthusiasts. Granted some real world objects being used as a support for shooting might be harder to simulate in a game, at least give the players some basic ones. Things such as bipods, being the number one requested item, rocks, fences, specific areas on vehicles (trunk, hood, and roof), railings, crates, and most of the low cover legdes just to name a few. Because let's be honest, for those of you who have actually spent sometime behind a real rifle, holding your breath in an unsupported position will never really settle your sights as still as being in a supported one.
Since the game does need so much fixing, it seems some of these things would just be easier to add to the next DLC or game in line altogether.
