What a game! Far Cry New Dawn was great!
Going back to the FC3/FC4 narrative structure of "go here to advance the story" was honestly refreshing after FC5, the story felt a lot more focused.
The gun play was awesome! They definitely fixed FC5's problem of "headshots make the combat too simple". I actually cared about which guns I picked up; it was fun having meaning in the variety.
The escalation/replayability of the outposts (and expeditions) is awesome. Definitely a good move for co-op play.
And to all yall who say it's like a "DLC"... no way. Was FCND shorter? Sure, a bit. But it definitely wasn't a lesser game. This was the most fun first-person shooting I've had in a long time. Hats off to the devs!tweakbox appvalley https://vlc.onl/
Hmm, wrong forum and I have to say I pretty much disagree with everything you posted.
Headshots SHOULD kill just about everything....I am sorry, but if you are good enough to shoot someone in the head, they should drop, I don't care if you are hitting them with a .223, or a .50, blow someones head off and they should die. Making this not happen just emphasized how much a new division style game FCND really was. I dare you to find people in the real world that can take a .223 to the head and still shoot back, and not being laying in the dust...Heck, even a .22LR will likely still put you down, even if it doesn't kill you just from the impact ringing your bell. Now a helmet changes things, but a bare headed head shot should be 100% kill.
Story...ugh, yeah, stupid missions, stupid choices....ok, they you go hear to advance the story is about the only thing I agree with in your post, but otherwise the story stank. "HEY, DROP YOUR WEAPONS HERE to advance the story...." um, no, why, just blow them all up, kill them like I have the other 1000 people around......but nope, drop your weapons cause story.....hey, rescue this fool, who should have known better, and kill this person cause reasons....and do this even though there would be a million other BETTER ways of doing the story....ugh, bad bad bad story telling all the way around.
Outpost scaling was poor, no better tactics, no real change in the numbers just increase the levels meaning you had better have grinded your guns up....They didn't add walls, more people, more gun emplacements, better tactics for how enemy reacts, didn't add vehicles inside or above to help defense....nope, don't do that, just make everyone tier 2 instead of 1, or tier 4 instead of 3 like last time....
