But why do they keep forcing these awkward and silly jumps in in the first place? Why can't we just race with our vehicles instead of flying through the air like someone is trying to entertain grade school kids?Originally Posted by LegendOfGta Go to original post
Yeah, you can not use the air nitro, if you want to make the deliberate choice to get worse times. For now. Except, what happens from here? What if they adjust the target times to be appropriate to the game play? What if someone realizes the AI ignoring it makes no sense? Then it's too late to get to choose how you drive. We only have the choice to not air nitro because the devs only did a fraction of the work to incorporate the "feature". So far.
Also, if we are going to zoom around through the air so much in car races, why can't we get some decent PLANE races? The plane events are all a joke and they're wasting time making the cars into jet powered air toys.
Look at this from a "bright side". They added fart horn. Amazing, huh? Now whenever we get another flying hypercars "skill" Im going to equip this horn, bind horn and nitro to the same button and fart my way to victory. It should have been a default feature of air nitro really. Both things are on the same level of "creativity" and "fun" and complement each other perfectly.
Old guy myself i guess and I agree . Seems the days of learning proper technic and race lines are almost gone. It is more fun and challenging for me to learn street races for an example at high speeds while grazing the shoulders or clipping the curbs as close as possible all the while working the gas an brake , heel toeing and counter steering like nobodies business then it is to just mash the throttle through a straight line field short cut . Just me and few others i guess.Originally Posted by Don.B._CN Go to original post
Competition can be fun...when it's healthy. I've been a part of too many games now that competition has all but ruined the experience for me. If it wasn't apparent, I'm a casual gamer; the apparent category that supposedly has more influence over the outcomes of this game's "direction" than the hardcore or veteran players, like yourself, Don.
Edit: re-reading that last part sounded like an insult with ill intentions. IT WAS NOT. I meant it as a fact. Where yours and other "veteran" players opinions should steering the direction of this game's decisions, it is quite apparent IVT is taking more consideration of what the "casuals" think, and that is gravely disturbing if true.
craft-helicopters and stuff like that. Seems that their interest zone is between 5 and 14 year old audience
You have hit the nail on the head. Thats why they shouldn't have copied forza they should have just stayed with the crew 1's theme but now we are in this predicament with the state of the game.
I am one year out of this game, just had a look on the Forums to see if IVT has improved it... Apart from all this colorful stuff targeted more or less to 10 year olds, this air nos is just another example how to fk up the rest of the 'seriousness' of a Racing Game ....
Thats IVT in a nutshell, they are good in adding all kind of content but making the game as bugfree as it can get, balance it, wipe leaderboards etc? No way. I left the game when Ivory destroyed the suspension geometry behavior of nearly all road cars last year and seems the game only got more colorful with stuff that looks like NFS Underground upgraded to 2020.

It should've been put in that starting movie playing that ''Kalea'' game theme instead of music. I believe a lot of (so needed) younger players would be really overwhelmingly thrilled with it. I can see my 9 year old nephew exiting and starting the game numerous times just to hear it again and again, laughing like crazy for hours... Hey, that would've also solve the server clog problems
Now seriously, i saw some of the older posts regarding gameplay, and answers from dev team (''thank you very much, we appreciate... we will look into it'' etc), and i'll tell you something; they won't do a single thing regarding all your (and mine) wishes and ideas, no matter how god they are. Well... except maybe to sell them back to us through their future projects as ''their'' ideas... so in that manner, all we need to do is to wait for the sequel. And to buy it ofc, how else
No man, those records are all as they should be- legal. Especially those beneath the map! Let me see you beat that, HA! You 're not pro, bro!Originally Posted by InstaFaceTweet Go to original post
And yeah, because of that susp. tweaking 70% people race against each other with their ''shiny blinking NfsUg copy-paste comicbook busty farting anime blah-blahs'' only on straights. And only in large cities! For example: Let's say you race in a city, you're in the lead, and ( naturaly dooh ) you turn in a crossroad left or right following the road, doesn't really have to be some elbow curve... A lot of them will end up either head straight in the wall or loosing control. No matter how far behind. Check it. Even i'm sometimes doubtful what will my car do, should i turn mildly, or hard...will e-brake work ok this time ... will i end up inside or outside... It is so unpredictable! Haha, copied my good GTsport setups, or at least what could be copied... Just to be totallydisappointed. Hey, try finishing the clean race! Hahaha! And don't get me started about driving the line through some longer chicanes, or complex corners! LoL!!!... I've also noticed that 90% of the traffic in the races all the time is positioned almost at the same spot, and just waiting for you to show up. I sometimes have a feeling that somebody has spent a lot of time strategically positioning it throughout the races to slap you in the middle of your face and just when you least expect it ( most of the time hidden behind the curve or behind a bend, in that perfect driving line... BAAM!!! ) Same goes for the freeroam: Two traffic cars passing each other in the middle of a blind corner, just in that perfect moment when you need to pass, or (!) four cars completely closing the highway (with a steel fence on both sides!), again, just in that perfect moment... A truck or a bus switching the lane, again, just in that perfect moment... BAAM!!! Other choice is the fence...SQUEEEK!!! Older traffic system was way better... randomised and unpredictable- more fun if nothing. Now you just need to remember traffic positions throughout the race and that's it. New York race is a perfect example for this.
ps. I am really sorry if devs, because of all these complains regarding physics, decide to degrade (even more) complexity of a suspension system, or do something similar to last patch
...Man, I miss some good old serious racing
