    So no short term fix for the *very* annoying new bug that you can't mod any non-equipped weapon without having to equip it first?

    Exotic gear items, not weapons, have mod slots available. If you deconstruct the exotic mask/vest/backpack with a mod slot in it... you will lose that mod.

    Apologies. My bad in a hasty reply. I meant to point out, that exotic weapon mods are locked, in case anyone misunderstood the reference to gears.
