Shooting lights for what? May i know the reasons why you want it? the enemy will see you even in the dark. The darkness has no effect on enemy a.i unlike any other game the darkness is a great advantage to the player.Originally Posted by Joeson30fr Go to original post
Being able to shoot out the lights does help during night incursions. The enemies do take longer to detect you when you're in darker areas (not by a lot mind you). And with so many indestructible bright lights at night, it makes NVG's basically useless, during the time they're supposed to be the most useful.
Plus it totally destroys the immersion of the game world. In years gone past, if a game had lights with mesh, or a steel cage around it, you knew you couldn't destroy the light. It was an unwritten rule of video games. Breakpoint doesn't even follow that old rule, as a lot of the lights you can't shoot don't have any coverings. It's inconsistent at best and ruins the experience when infiltrating a base at night.
It is interesting that this was a thing in Wildlands but not in Breakpoint but I assume they are using different engines.
It might be a technical reason why players are unable to shoot them out.
It might add expense to the engine with re-spawning them back in and this could take a hit on the performance.
Why do you want to be able to shoot the lights out Ghost?
For immersion, it being in the last game and the cool factor, but a light system similar to the old splinter cells would be really nice.Originally Posted by UbiT00n Go to original post

In PvP shooting out the lights at night that you can, helps you see MUCH further, but it would be nice to be able to shoot them all out.
Being able to break glass windows would be nice to. Sometimes you get stuck in a room, windows right next to you but you cant break the glass to escape or throwing a grenade in a room where a players hiding.
Brings another tactical element to the game.
I wanna be more stealth, more tactical and more immerse...as for being a lone ghost behind enemy line...Some of the enemy base are working on generator and some on solar energy or bulletproof gene...It really makes sense if I were able to shoot the lights out when they is no generator in a base to be as much tactical and stealthy when infiltrating.
