Help with Rayman 2, graphics bug etc

I downloaded Rayman 2 from Ubisoft's store last night (after reading a few threads I should have gone with GOG lol), and once I downloaded it I immediately noticed a lot of the graphics were off (lums and flames were blue boxes, any lighting effects were all extremely bright and made the game almost unplayable).

I combed the internet and found a solution on this forum; I downloaded a fix linked in the FAQ thread which corrected all the previous graphic errors, however, now the game won't run in full screen and the frame rate has gone down significantly. (I'm running it on Windows 10 and the specs of my laptop are unknown to me. I'm not sure if my laptop has much to do with the lag though considering it did run well with the patch initially, it wasn't until after I rebooted the game when the frame rate tanked.)

I'm honestly not the most knowledgeable with programming and a lot of this has been pretty hard to understand. If anyone has any guidance I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!

Thank you! It definitely helped, I still can't get it in full screen though. Oh well, I'll take it lol.

I have got exactly the same problem. This manual fixes this particular problem, but as a result I cannot play the game in widescreen anymore. Moreover and even worse, the performance becomes very unstable (in my perception both the framerate and input lag).

Make sure you've got the same set to use Glide instead of DIrectX. Regarding the widescreen, that's not supported by the game by any means. If you force it to widescreen it will stretch the screen.

hello5171994 - I am glad to hear that you were able to improve your gameplay experience by following the instructions in the guide provided by RayCarrot. Have you been able to run the game in a Windowed Borderless mode, if not Fullscreen? If you need any further assistance, please let me know.

Cloud_Arslan - I am sorry to hear of your performance issues with Rayman 2. Did you yet complete our basic PC troubleshooting?

RayCarrot - Thanks for helping out again.

Are you able to make or attach a video tutorial on how to fix?
