    I read on steam where alot of people are having the same issue that someone solved it by installing it on a hard drive instead of an ssd, i currently only have an ssd so idk if it actually helps or not.

    Does for anyone else the multiplayer work fine and launches normally, while the singleplayer just crashes or keeps loading?

    Same here, MP works but I can't play single player, and I don't know what's wrong. When I play the game through the Uplay launcher, it opens a new window for half a second and closes it right away, and when I launch it through the desktop shortcut it created, it asks me for an activation code, and it won't accept my key that came with the game. I've reinstalled it onto my C: drive, run it in compatibility mode, given it administrator permissions, verified the game files, and none of them have worked. Ubisoft support told me to delete the owner's cache in Uplay's program files and have it update itself, but that didn't work either. I don't plan on returning the game, either, cause I bought it to play it, so I'm gonna figure this out.

    I found the solution, the issue in anti-aliasing,
    Change the setting to FXAA and all will be fixed. AMD has some issue with anti-aliasing and windows 10 for this game.
    Do it in the main menu before loading the save game.

    But I can't even load up the game, let alone change the settings in it.

    its a pity...

    that ubisoft can't fix the problem on this issue for everyone. it is that buggy for so many users. that are not individual user-caused problems...

    Very disappointing, makes me dont want to purchase ac:valhalla.

    I've installed it both on my boot SSD and my hard drive with the same results (not being able to launch the game).

    Ok I have a solution!

    For AMD users: Uninstall any overclocking software apps (Rivatuner/MSI Afterburner). Uninstall your current graphic (Radeon) drivers and install a WHQL certified release. You can find the drivers on the manufacturer's website, Make sure you install the WHQL Certified drivers and NOT the latest/beta released drivers.
    Open your Control Panel, and make sure to uninstall anything which is related to Microsoft Visual C++ Redistribuate.

    Once this is done, download and install the following files :
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2008:http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...ils.aspx?id=29
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2010: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...s.aspx?id=5555
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2012: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl....aspx?id=30679

    download and install this version of DirectX: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...s.aspx?id=8109

    Verify files in Uplay one last time after doing the above steps and the last step is:
    Right click on AC4BFSP.exe and click on "Properties", in the "Compatibility" tab, select "Windows XP SP2".

    BOOM!

    Is it safe to just uninstall all Microsoft Visual versions, how do i know if a certain game i have installed needs it or not?

    Update:
    From what Hunaid786 said to do, i think that installing the WHQL drivers was the most impactful( previously i had the latest optional ones installed) provided i installed directx a week before also during troubleshooting. I haven't installed or uninstalled any of the microsoft visual versions he suggested but if the game doesnt launch after installing WHQL drivers its worth a try.

    So tl;dr After installing WHQL drivers, running everything as admin( with windows xp sp2 compatibilty mode enabled) and verifying the files one last time, SINGLE player launched without any issues.

    Thank you Hunaid786 for the help.
