    NP-39227-3 error code

    Hi everyone,

    I need some help here. I get error code (NP-39227-3) when I try to restore my licenses on PS4. It also says "cannot restore some licenses - warlords of ny pre-order expansion. However, I can access all of the WONY expansion without any problems. No problems either when I travel from DC to NY and back. There were some previous posts on here back in March in reference to this same error code. I tried re-building the database, turned off my PS4 completely and unplugged console for 2 min, but none of this worked. Some people on this forum who reported this same error code back in March also tried re-initializing, but it didn't work for them. Does anyone know how to solve this issue? Is there anyone here who has recently seen this error code when trying to restore their licenses?

    I am posting again over here hoping that I can get some answers either from forum members or a representative from Ubisoft.

    All of these people in the links I provided above have reported the same error code that I'm getting. However, my PS4 is set to primary and it is not shared with any other account. I can access the WONY expansion with no problems, but why am I getting this error code? I figured it had something to do with the pre-order bonuses and checked to see if I have everything. The NY police outfit, shotgun, and level 30 booster were all received and I was able to access them. If you are on PS4, try restoring your licenses and see if you get this error code too. I know I'm not the only one. I would be more concerned if I couldn't access WONY but this is still frustrating and would like a solution to this problem.

    I am still looking for some help please. Playstation support is closed and their staff aren't really helpful when it comes to these types of error codes to begin with.

    Sorry. I haven’t had any problems with my pre order edition or warlords expansion. Well aside from the typical bugs and delta 3 disconnects at times.

    I hope this gets resolved for you soon. I know things like this can be frustrating. Just trying to “bump” the thread without bumping it.

    Hopefully someone will be able to help address the issue you are having. There is an issue with sharing the expansion since it can’t be shared on PlayStation and does have to be from the same region as the disc or digital version of the game. Hong Kong game needs Hong Kong expansion or United States version needs United States expansion. That was an issue some users have experienced.

    Thanks for your reply. As stated in my previous post, I am not sharing my account with another one on my PS4. My PS4 is set to primary. I reside in Canada and I have the digital version of Division 2. I pre-ordered WONY through the Playstation store with my Canadian account. I remember testing my licences after I pre-ordered and there were no problems. I then went to restore licences in early April and I got the NP-39227-3 error code. I will also note that the Ubisoft representative provided a link for NP-32062-3 error code and that's a different one. I have tried re-building the database and re-initializing your whole PS4 does not work. I did not try re-initializing because if you read one of my earlier posts in this thread, it has links to other ppl who have or had this same error code. They tried re-initializing and did not work for all of them. I'm not sure if I understand how to properly power cycle the PS4. There are different instructions on the Internet and some of them are a bit conflicting. Can anyone here provide me with clear and correct instructions on how to power cycle the PS4? I am also open to other suggestions because this just doesn't make any sense.

    I have always power cycled mine by just selecting restart system.

    But if you turn off your PS4 and press the power button and hold it without letting up on it you can boot into safe mode and try restoring from the safe mode screen. You might have some luck that way but I am unsure if it well help or not tbh. There are a few option on that screen. I can’t remember them all. It has been a while since I have done it but the steps above are how to boot into safe mode. I think it will beep a couple times when you do it right.

    I have the release version ps4 but I would think it would be the same for all versions but I’m unsure and can’t test since I only have the one ps4 from release.

    Finally, another person has come forward. Hi matta3310 and thx for replying to my thread. Unfortunately, you saw the response from Ubisoft and all I got was a link on how to troubleshoot a different NP error code on PS4. That was not acceptable at all imo. I have been doing a lot of digging on the Internet and NP-39227-3 is an error code specifically tied into pre-orders bonues. Some ppl who pre-ordered The Last of Us part 2, NHL 20, Sims, Hitman 2, Warframe, and Division 2 WONY all reported the NP-39227-3 error code. This doesn't make any sense for us Division 2 players because I'm assuming you also received the NY police outfit, level 40 shotgun, and level 30 booster? Is there anything else I didn't mention? I believe Playstation Support is still closed and they aren't much help when it comes to this stuff. They will tell you their scripted troubleshooting solutions that don't work and/or say that it's a developer problem. Anyway, I know that more players probably have this error code and don't even know it because they don't bother restoring their licences.

    Feel free to send me a friend request if you'd like. My PSN is the same as my name on the Ubisoft forums. I mostly play challenging and heroics whenever I am on. It would be nice if Ubisoft can look into this for us.
