Filduro is a YouTuber who has almost 2.5k subscribers and he managed to reach Nr.1 position in the world:
In 2 and a half years, I paid for multiple legendary cards including SoMM
Finally, I got my SoMM to level 4 and started playing with it after a long time:

We both think SoMM's power should be adjusted somehow, preferably by adding a radius.
Because of this, I've been told that I'm the problem and I don't know how to play. I basically suck... And yet I managed to reach top100 globally. More importantly, does Filduro suck as well?
Another thing that I've been told is that I'm basically an assh0le because I managed to reach top100 (one time only) and still complain about SoMM. By this logic, Filduro should be the biggest assh0le out there...
Now maybe, just maybe the problem is not ME, nor Filduro, nor any other person but THE CARD ITSELF!
After all, SoMM is the ONLY card which has been discussed this much and yet managed to remain untouched.
Therefore, his power should be adjusted and if there is a huge backlash from the community it can be undone the following month.

no, the problem isn't with those 2 players but the card itself, there are literally 3 people defending somm in this post
any complain about cards opness fades before a 4 cost card that does such indiscriminate damage while being easy to pull off
none in this post has moved serious argument in defence to somm's power, the recurrent defences are 'devs say is fine = somm is fine', 'can be countered = is fine' which are plain ridiculous arguments
Somm needs a radius like almost every other card. Somm needs his power to be circumstantial like almost every other card. Stop this lameness.

Plenty of cards don’t have radius effects, and SOMM counters abound. Heck, we found out now that the one on the SOMM witch hunt that started this thread plays mystical and lv4 Satan. If I’ve ever seen an ironic argumentation against an “OP card”, this is absolutely it.
And let’s leave the weak claims about “3 people defending” aside shall we? This is a forum with very little activity and it’s like 5 of us talking back and forth. Someone posted earlier the exact stats, and you can say the same thing about 2-3 people constantly repeating their claims that he’s broken.
Come to discord if you want a more lively and productive debate rather than bumping this trash every week. SOMM is discussed there from time to time, and it always ends in a pretty clear cut group consensus that he’s not in need of adjustment.

To me the best option would be to increase SOMMs walk rate or slow his charge rate. The biggest problem other than it being a boardwide AOE is that it charges before even getting to midline. I have to use a spell to remove him or only a handful of my cards can even survive the charge. SOMM has very few meta relevant counter other than spells. Sizzler/SER can be slowed and picked off with archers or assassins. MT is weak to swarm just to go over SF weaknesses. I really see no counter play with SOMM.

The problem with SoMM is that his charge hits the entire board and only enemy units.
As such, if you don't have a response in hand already, you literally have to throw away energy to cycle your deck. And you do this knowing any card you throw out, regardless of position will be killed (or severely damaged).
No other card has that type of power. Even cards like Satan and Incan are warcrys only and don't hit the entire board.
Give him a radius or let him damage his own units as well. No card should have the power to kill or severely damage all the enemy units on the board regardless of position unless removed. Even increasing walking speed or increasing charge time is not enough since he is so easily body blocked behind the NK.

I agree. SOMM’s attack radius being the entire board is the summit of OP. Each theme set should have the ability to counter other themes in some fashion, but unless you’re running Mystic, ADV or Fantasy, you basically have no way to remove a unit that can clear the board at a high enough level.
Not saying kill the card, but reducing his radius from Thanos Finger snap to something like Swashbuckler radius might be a cool change to bring a bit more balance.
