I dont want to buy dlc but i am installing its high size update. Why??

Even if we don't want to buy dlc in every game, we have to install their high size updates. My hard drive is out of space and my internet is not fast enough. The game companies do not deal with handing them apart, but they exploit the hard drives and the internet of the players. ENOUGH!!

Over a decade at this point. If your HDD is out of space, delete something. Worth noting that the entire game got upgraded with the release of the DLC, and a large proportion of that new stuff is part of the main game, not just the DLC.
Yep, if they they don't upgrade the game with the new systems included in the DLC it's the same as running two separate games. This is a very very common practice for ages.

Because the expansion code is not factored from the main code, and therefore the expansion code and assets exist on your platform and it is a switch that is flipped to give you access to that content.

In a perfect world, the expansion would be factored from the base game code, but if that were the case we would probably see a lot of problems that stem from that. Because it would be a configuration management nightmare.
