First off I want to just say thank you Ubisoft. Because I've never posted on this forum I'm a stadia player but you guys clearly heard my words even through the stadia forums or maybe I'm not the only person who complained about it.
But I just want to say thank you for at least giving us veteran ghost recon players a way to play the game without this whole division garbage aka gear levels etc.
Because truthfully that was the one thing that made me stop playing the game, since the inclusion of the immersion mode I've actually been playing a lot more now. my main problem with this game was that it felt more like the division than it does a ghost recon game. Mainly because of the looting for guns, the gear level stuff etc. I come from old school ghost recon games where you didn't have levels for anything. It was just your pure skill and tactics versus very tough AI. To me at least that was always the bread and butter of ghost recon games really tough tactical AI and if you just had the skill to pull off what you needed to do your "gear level" just wouldn't matter.
so at first you can see why I didn't play the game and I was very upset that I bought it. as I have said thankfully you guys have added at least a mode for people such as myself who just aren't into RPGs and don't care about all of that stuff. I just want a tactical, grueling, military fps. And I do believe that the immersion mode delivers on that so thank you truthfully.
This is why I have now come off of stadia to actually ask you guys over at Ubisoft on your forums can you please just add one more little tweak to the immersion mode. No classes/abilities. again as an old school ghost recon player we just didn't have this stuff and I feel what you're doing with the immersion mode is absolutely the right track. But no abilities, no class system I just want to be able to play. Personally the perks and the abilities just don't do anything for me. And just like the gear level stuff I personally just find it to be frustrating and annoying. now I know many people will probably say it doesn't really do anything.
But I feel like it does and as I said I feel like you guys have the right idea with the immersion mode. Now you just need to take out all of the RPG-esque elements and it would be a true old school ghost recon kind of experience. I don't know how hard all of that stuff would be to do either. But I would like it if it could be done. if not thank you anyway for at least listening and hearing my original words because now I can at least play the game and enjoy it. Before I literally just couldn't get involved with it and I just kept saying to myself every time I was playing it "if I wanted to play the division I would have just bought one of the division kind of games." so I'm just glad that I can at least play my ghost recon experience like an old school ghost recon experience without all of this gear level stuff and weapon levels and just this RPG nonsense. Now I'm just simply asking please remove the class system. and obviously not permanently but just the same way you do with the immersion mode have there be some kind of option to turn on class usage or off.
Also and this one's probably going to get nowhere, because I remember way back with ghost recon wildlands beta I requested this and the entire game got made season after season passed and this never got implemented into the game. so I doubt this will get implemented into this game. But please for the love of God think of left-handed players. And before all of you left-handed people that ruin this for us by saying "oh I have no problem I get used to it" and that's the whole reason why year after year games don't focus on left-handed people it's because of you people who do that stuff. Like no dude it sucks I'm glad some left-handed people don't have a problem with it and can get used to it but it's again really really really annoying. this is one reason I play VR games more than anything else because at least we're allowed to use our left hand and we're not time after time restricted to just this right-handed model that pretty much every game always focuses on. 2020 and games still have some kind of problem with just making left-handed models.
I personally don't get what the issue is and what makes it so difficult to do that. But just like wildlands and even in break point you guys clearly have to some degree a left-handed model because when you switch to your shoulder to the right side (as in ur character will be to the right of the screen) your character model will hold his/her gun with his/her left hand. All I'm saying is why can't he/she just steadily hold it with their left hand? So you're not always swapping back and forth from side to side. Now if you're playing with the whole first person iron sights it doesn't really affect anything. But if you are playing in third person with third person shooting trust me switch to your right shoulder and your character will be holding the gun with their left hand, switch to your left shoulder and they will be holding it with their right hand. So you guys clearly have that implemented to some degree. all I'm saying now is, I would like to have them steadily hold it in their left hand so I never have to keep swapping my shoulders.
I know this was long I tried to space it out as best as I can I'm sorry. as I said if the left-handed stuff can't be done that's obviously fine it's something we as left-handers have to just deal with. we've had to deal with it for all of these years and pretty much every game. Which is why I'm saying I'm not hating on the people that can get used to it or have no problem with it, just for The few like me who are left-handed and just really do struggle grasping this right-handed concept it does suck. and sure we make ends meet we do what we got to do to play the game but I'm just saying accessibility is a very important thing in video games so I just don't see why left-handed is always being neglected in the accessibility options.
So as I said if the left handed stuff can't be done that's fine. but please just expand upon the immersion mode and please remove the classes again not permanently but just have there be some kind of option just like how you can turn on and off the gear level setting, please have there be some option to turn on and off the class settings as well. I'm just looking for that old school ghost recon experience I've always loved. I have no hate against the division either I'm just simply saying the division exists so let it be what it is don't try to merge them (The division and Ghost recon). ghost recon is its own game and I just feel like you guys really are bringing a lot of the division mechanics into the game and I just don't agree with it. Again what made ghost recon ghost recon was the really tough grueling AI and just your tactics and skills of how you would have to take the approach to complete that mission etc.
So again thank you because you guys at least did listen and at least it is something in the right direction for us old school ghost recon players.
