    [BUG] Emplacements Not Properly Deactivating

    Hi,

    There's some buggy behaviour with emplacements.

    2 locations which demonstrate this are the Ammo Depot in Sinking Country and Camp Kodiak.

    In the Ammo Depot the emplacements still show as orange alerted icons even when there are no enemies and deactivated.

    If you deactivate them manually or with the generator they game still flags threats nearby.

    If you then fly away and back they show up as activated again.

    In the ammo dump, only blowing the generator properly deactivates them.

    In camp Kodiac they still register as nearby enemies even if you manually deactivate them, deactivate the generator, blow the generator and physically destroy them.

    Only flying away and back registers them as properly gone after doing all this.

    Interestingly the burnt out remains of the offending emplacements don't respawn at all when flying away and back which suggests theres something wrong with them.

    Worth a look, not a major issue but I think most of these bugs appeared with TU2.0.0.

    I'll keep reporting any other facilities I notice this on but these stood out.

    PS I only noticed this when playing with no HUD and compass on Dynamic because the compass appears when threats are nearby. I noticed that even after clearing these facilities the compass was still there so the game still thought something was flagged as a threat and I figured it was the emplacements as there was nothing else it could be. Then confirmed by testing flying away and back to check behaviour and icons appearing on the HUD.

    Hi,

    Smuggler Coves Freight Yard is another one. One mortar emplacement. Disabling, disabling generator, blowing generator and destroying the mortar still flags it as enemy presence nearby.

    Driving away and back results in the remains despawning and clearing the threat nearby indicator.

    Hey again,

    The team is checking this issue and have asked for some more information, if possible:

    - A video of this happening, if you can link it here
    - When you mention them registering as nearby enemies, does this mean the alert state shows as active?
    - When you mention deactivating them"manually or with generator", do you mean the generators or the enemies?

    Hey,

    It's not an alert state like yellow or amber.

    Easiest way to explain it is if you've got the minimap set to dynamic, ie it only shows when threats are nearby, then clear the base or facility, after clearing the last enemy the minimap will disappear, the music will fade, and the player enters a relaxed idle stance. That's the normal behaviour.

    With the locations I've mentioned however this doesn't happen, even if you destroy the emplacements and generator, the game still thinks they are 'nearby threats'. However if you then fly away to the point where the emplacement wreckage de spawns and then return again the location doesn't trigger the minimap indicating it is properly cleared.

    I'll try and put together a video to demonstrate.

    It's a minor issue, but these cues are useful when playing with no enemy markers and no HUD because it informs the player the location is fully cleared.

    Auroa Material Deposit is another location I've noticed this in.

    In this example there is an infinite amber threat caused by the emplacements to begin with.

    Next, even when deactivated the emplacements in this example still show amber icons above them.

    Hacking them doesn't remove the icons, it removes the amber threat but the game still shows nearby threats as seen from the player stance and minimap still showing (on dynamic setting to only show when threats nearby).

    Disabling and destroying the generator, and destroying the emplacements themselves doesn't clear the nearby threat either. There are no threats around so at this point the player should be in the usual relaxed idle stance.

    Getting in the helicopter and flying away to the point where the emplacements despawn, then returning finally disables the nearby threat. When exiting the helo the player is in the relaxed idle stance and the minimap disappears to confirm this.

    Hopefully this demonstrates the issue. The behaviour is similar at other locations I've listed and will continue to list more as I find them.

    The work around that has worked or me thus far, is to mark the turret or mortar, then disable it.

    Found a new one - construction site at the south end of Whalers Bay.

    Doesn't have emplacements but still keeps showing the minimap as if threats are nearby.

    The only thing this location has is security lights, however even taking these down doesn't remove the enemy nearby status.

    Another one - Electric Grid Control in Channels. Has 2 lights and a mortar emplacement.
