It was not my intention to start another PvP vs PvE flaming war. I wish people would keep their toxic comments to themselves and stay on topic.

Any moderator out there lurking, you can close this thread before it derails. Sorry, I should have known better.

My thoughts on it. I figure it as much considering the state of PvP/DZ and the fact there has been no communication on PvP/DZ.
It has been a year since we had a state of the game that featured Terry Spier and Keith Evans at RedStorm talking about PvP and DZ.

Since then, there has been no communication on the state of PvP whatsoever. PvP is pretty much dead in the water without a dedicated PvP team. I doubt Massive has the ability to make it fun again. That said.

I think Redstorm is working on Division 3. It makes logical sense to release Division 3 next year (March 2021) since PS5 and Xbox Series X is releasing at the end of this year. An upgraded engine with new console hardware will give them the ability to do more with the game. There are too many limitations with current-gen consoles. I don't think it's feasible to maintain two different versions of the game for two different console generations. I know the new consoles will have backward compatibility.
"for a while" indicates he might return to the Division.... and Skulls/cats/metal and other cool ****....doesent sound Division3 related to me.

Imo its not a good idear to release D3 half a year after the release of next gen consoles, we all know how underperforming the first games on new consoles are.

Good riddance. Never liked the guy from the first SotG I ever saw him on, back on TD1. He made it clear that he liked being a toxic troll while playing in the DZ, so with him at the reigns, it's not surprising that I've hated everything about pvp in this series from the very beginning.

The DZ is not a fairplay area. I loved hijacking with my 10k stamina nomad 😂 pop survival link as well. You can't die.

I play conflict so do tens of players in my clan. To ask for it to be removed is pretty ****ing selfish considering there's a ton of people that like it and also bought the game. I've made some really good friends playing PvP.

Imagine how many more players they could have if they got it right.

Imagine how many more players they'd have if they got PVE right and stopped splitting focus and balance with trash-tier PVP?

I'm sorry if you like it, but you need to recognize how utterly BAD it is. It's ok to like bad things, but understand that it's overall not good for the health of the game.

Having said that, if The Division went the entire othwr direction, and was 100% a PVP, it would probably be amazing! I wouldn't play it, but I bet it would be a great game.

Red who? I vaguely remember some company being mentioned way back in august but nothing of any import. I became convinced some time ago that that company was contracted and payed for a fixed amount of work that they delivered(poorly) and then after that Massive refused to payout whatever it was Redsomething were demanding. Obviously I have absolutely no evidence for any of that but then again I have absolutely no evidence of Redsomething iterating over the PvP elements in the game.
