Just like to add I also am experiencing this problem with my 5700 XT and Ryzen 5 2600. Low hardware utilization across the board and low framerates.
Hey! Thank you for adding to this thread, let's see what we can do for you.Originally Posted by CeleryStix Go to original post
Let's start with the basics. Please follow this support article to make sure you're running the most optimised system: https://support.ubi.com/en-gb/faqs/000025947/
I have a list of the most taxing graphics options that you could try lowering -
- Shadow Quality
- Subsurface Scattering
- Level of Detail and Draw Distance
- Long Range Shadows
Also note that some additional features that are not included in any quality preset but can be manually enabled are also taxing on performance. These are:
- Ambient Occlusion: HBAO+;
- Godrays: Enhanced (this one is very demanding);
You have a very strong system so I don't believe much compromise is necessary, but I would like to offer it as a suggestion.
Seems like 5700 xt GPU and Ryzen 5 2600 is a common theme with Ubisoft games. I also have the same system and all of my Ubisoft games except Far Cry 5 run on lower fps than expected compared to similar performing systems. I am aware I am responding this thread a bit late. However, I felt important to let you know that there is something off with the way AC and Watch Dogs games are coded. Wildlands might be on the same boat. On the other hand, I have watched other people with similar systems make videos of the same games and their fps is always double mine.A clean install of windows after completely formatting my disks didn't change anything.
It's funny because Red Dead Redemption on ultra runs at an average of 74 fps on the same system. Maybe Ryzen 5 as a cpu is not compatible with cpu heavy games.
Thank you for providing this insight. For anyone experiencing trouble with fps I would suggest trying the steps we previously mentioned as well as lowering some of the settings suggested in order to increase the overall performanceOriginally Posted by Zoberk Go to original post
