Maunga Nui Port from the direction of the bivuac (whilst laying on the platform)
Fen Bog Testing Zone from the hill near the abandoned site to the south, facing the testing zone, just west of Precipice Falls.
Skell Estate from the direction of the hill just outside to the north east, overlooking the pool.
Outpost Black Tiger, from the direction of the hill just opposite the entrance.

It doesn't seem to always be 100% reproducible with reliability, which makes it all the more frustrating, but hopefully this helps narrow down the cause.
Thanks for the input WryZed, I have forwarded the details you provided to our game team accordingly, and hopefully this will come handy!

Should there be any updates, details will be posted here, in our official forums, therefore keep an eye!

To add another location, the first time this happened to me and I recognized what it was. Approached the Naval Base in Seal Islands from the west, landed a chopper up by the cold war observation tower and then crept about halfway down toward the second building to the left as you'd be coming out of the tunnel entering the base. Was trying to sneak a faction mission without doing the whole base, tried to sensor the buildings and the first one fired just went a couple of feet and dropped despite nothing visibly blocking the trajectory. Second one fired worked just fine.

Hey, thank you for providing another location.

I have added this to the investigation so our team can test this location. If possible, an image of the exact map location would also be useful.

Hi, I also find this problem happens often if I fired the sensor grenade too fast after switching to the launcher. If I pause for 2 seconds after switching to the launcher, then the grenade will often fire fine.

Thanks for letting us know cym104!

I can confirm that this has now been forwarded to our game team and hopefully will come handy when reproducing the issue.

Should you have any additional information to share, feel free!

I find that it will almost certainly hit an air wall if you fire it at too steep a down angle regardless of location...say from a cliff down to a compound. on the other hand, if you fire it at a much flatter angle, say 20 degrees or less, it works just fine every time.

It just happened to me as well. I was going after the M1911 blueprint and I was on a rock cliff above the base. I shot two scan grenades but they both hit an invisible wall very close to me, resulting in 0 and 1 enemy detected.

Image of the map at roughly the original location I mentioned, and a different location where it happened tonight (on a hill overlooking Step Up Start Up): https://imgur.com/a/M60BbZl

The second time from the same place it fired just fine. Which has largely been my experience, it only does it like the first time and is fine after that. I'm wondering if the rapid switching that cym mentions is more the cause than the location, because just going off memory that's been a factor when it's happened to me as well. I'll see if I can reproduce it consistently with that.

You are the best, thank you very much for providing everything I asked for.

So far this seems to be a combination of shooting the launcher too fast and being on a steep hill.

I'm sure we'll be able to figure this out thank you all very much!
