It's also the team that helped build the franchise with GRAW 1 and 2, Future Soldier and Wildlands. But just look at Infinity Ward, in comparison. They had some incredible games, but then they released Infinite Warfare, which was so far flung, from what made their games popular, that it was the worst selling COD game ever. It shared a lot of parallels with Breakpoint. Then IW came back to the their roots with Modern Warfare, which is now seen as the epitome of realism for modern military games, in terms of how their operators look, and the weapon customization.Originally Posted by J-109373 Go to original post
So you never know. the next Ghost Recon could be absolutely amazing, now that they know what truly doesn't work in this franchise.
Yeah well said, also why do people want Wildlands remastered? The game is literally 3 years old.Originally Posted by Megalodon26 Go to original post
Because Wildlands would’ve benefitted so much from the improved textures, better weapon feel, movement in combat to mention just a few things. It’s still a much better game than BP, but could be even better. And I’m honestly not confident they can ever make BP great. The story and cinematics just aren’t there.Originally Posted by Stomp0nMybaIls Go to original post
Eh, I'd rather see GR 2 remake any day, GRW graphics are still great, and Nexus has a retexture for GRW that gives the original E3 2015 trailer graphics, and that's all that would change with the remaster. GRW remastered would be an absolute cash grab, even more than BP was.Originally Posted by Hugo-FOU Go to original post
I’m a late joiner to the franchise so I’ll take your word for it on GR 2. For me it’s not as much about the textures and graphics. They were just examples of things that could be improved. It’s more things like bodies not disappearing, the better crouched movement, terrain movement, (although maybe not the sliding so much), melee takedowns, injury system, prone camo, weapon camo options, laser on top rail, rocket and grenade launchers, being able to unequip any weapon.Originally Posted by Stomp0nMybaIls Go to original post
These are all things that BP does really well. It just doesn’t have a good story to use them in. Now if they can revamp the island to bring it to life and create a deep immersive story to rival Wildlands, along with a campaign comprising of over a hundred, generally well thought out missions, complete with extremely well acted and animated cinematic cutscenes, plausible villains and back stories providing motivation to continue and complete the story, then I wouldn’t find myself wishing for a Wildlands revamp!
Now as stated in another thread this isn’t the same people(s)/individuals same studio name but and I repeat not the same exact peoples/individuals look at wildlands entirely and compare content, core mechanics (before taken out) details from the map to the cartel members, there is something y’all have to understand UBISOFT is an entertainment company games are entertainment like films case and point take Aliens franchise you can tell when Ridley Scott produces and directs any of the movies and then you Michael bay and also you can tell when he has directed a film because of the signatures in their films same applies here and it’s multiple signatures like the division, far cry and assassin‘s creed meaning it’s a combination of individuals/peoples that were taken from a dev team to help out and I believe it was because of the original teams fatigue of working on wildlands for as long as they did that does relate heavily on the quality for that game.
It's the same people, you can look it up on IMDb credits, the only thing that changed from Wildlands to Breakpoint was one of the writers.Originally Posted by smilecry Go to original post
Well yeah, Wildlands took heavy inspirations from various events in cartel history, El Pozelero was a real person who dissolved bodies in Tijuana for the cartels, the Buchons take heavy inspirations from various Plaza Bosses in Mexico, Boston Reed is a caricature of Barry Seal, El Muro is the in game representation of early Los Zetas members, and Santa Blanca takes heavy inspiration from the Sinoloa/Guadalajara Cartels, not to mention Santa Muerte is a very real religion among cartel, robbers, and also trans/LGBTQ people in mexico. Various other items I'm missing but I know.Originally Posted by smilecry Go to original post
Oh and The Ricky guy is Wildlands' version of Kiki Camarena, and OP Kingslayer is Operation Leyenda.
