First and foremost, we hope that everyone is doing well and is safe at home during these times. On our side, the team is still hard at work to keep For Honor fully operational even though we are doing so from home.
We are proud of how quickly everyone on the For Honor development team has adapted to the situation. However, even with all our efforts during these times, the disruption over the past weeks is having an impact on our ability to deliver our near term content updates. For this reason, we have taken the decision to delay the release of Year 4 Season 2 to June 11, 2020.
We know that this news is disappointing; we were all excited to be able to show you what was coming to For Honor for the upcoming season. However, we are confident this was the right decision for us to be able to launch the content as we intended.
On a positive note, the team is currently working on a plan to be able to bring back fan-favorite activities to compensate for this delay. Those activities will be available in May and we will soon share more details within our May roadmap.
We want to thank you for your continued passion and support. Stay safe everyone.
The For Honor Team
Very disappointing indeed
If half the members of the team didn't switch to other teams this would have never happen
Season 1 was almost empty with no actual content just temporary stuff and cheap cosmetics and now the anticipated season is delayed !
How about a steel compensation ? 10k to all players will absorb the let down .
cmon a little bit more respect ok ?.... a Event would be better i think. What about a new Apollyon Legacy Event with all the old skins weapons and effects + newer ones for the newer classes ? or an Starwars lightsables Event with an option to farm theese skinns or an option to activate or deactivate the effects ? i think that would be much betterOriginally Posted by MrB3NX Go to original post
OR there's a pandemic going on that affects everyone, including the employees at Ubisoft and their safety is more important than a deadline?Originally Posted by MrB3NX Go to original post
I'm sad the season got postponed too, but we can't just turn a blind eye to what's happening irl and demand free stuff to be made and given to us.
I wouldn't mind at all a 2 more months wait if we actually had an official Ubisoft representative do a short Q&A video about the state of the game and ACTUAL balancing things in the making. So many glaring issues in the last state of balance report and not a single concrete bit of information about what's being worked on other than garbage testing ground recovery changes that barefly do anything for the ACTUAL glaring issues in this game RIGHT NOW. (IE : even after the testing ground changes go live, the issues we have right now will remain).
On a personal point of view, I would gladly welcome any news about Shinobi and reflex guard. To me, those are the 2 biggest issues in the game right now.
Lets end on a joke shall we : Centurion rework will soon be a year in the making. What's the joke ? Ubisoft is the joke.
It really goes to show the calibre of some people on this forum when they can non-ironically place more importance on their self entitled, butthurt feelings over a video game than the actual health and well being of fellow human beings. You couldn't find a more perfect example of exactly the type of people whose demands should be laughed at and thrown in the nearest bin.
Anyway, all the best to the FH team and I hope they stay safe.
You are 100% right, I'm being self centered right now.Originally Posted by Vakris_One Go to original post
And you my friend are the perfect exemple of someone ignoring issues being brought up by pointing out another non related issue hoping it'll make the first one go away. It's called deflecting.
FH issues are glaring and the communication skills of Ubisoft are lacking. It's an elephant in the room, everyone knows it and laugh about it. At this point, For Honor balance is a meme.
But you're 100% right, I'm being self centered by demanding a more balanced game and more communication from the FH team. I'll give you that. You win.
Yeah people are inconsiderate, but that doesn't change the fact that this game is on life support and a delayed much needed patch is going to severally hurt the game. I and many others haven't touched this game in a long time. Plus, I still have to work in all of this so I couldn't care less if other people have to work in it too, but unlike game devs I don't have the privilege of working from home.Originally Posted by Vakris_One Go to original post
Very understandable that non-essential work, especially non-essential work needing equipment to do, has to be delayed, I had wondered when this was coming given the same is happening in television and movies right now, even those where the acting is done and the kind of stuff left is studio post production work, it isn’t worth lives or long term health to keep self entitled stay-at-home types who think they are owed entertainment or self righteous I-still-work types happy.
And yeah calling bs on the whole I still work so they should have to argument, I still work, given I work in care I am likely more at risk than most who are not front line blue light workers, anyone who can should put safety first for their own benefit and for the people around them. This game will be here when things are less crazy and so will the players who have been here when people have been saying this game is dying, dead or ‘on life support’ since launch.
Stay safe FH team.

We all want to hear the devs stance on the TG changes. Cent mains myself included want to hear something about his rework. etc. That being said there's a time and place for things. When we have a global issue that's ravaging the human population that kind of takes more priority over a game. If the game is in such a terrible state for you then put it down and come back later. Me and my group play the game when we feel up to it. It's really not that hard.
The game has never had population problems. People have been claiming for literal years that its on life support or that x game will kill it off. There's literally no other game out there even remotely close to the experience FH gives. Until that changes and/or the game stops receiving support it's going to be just fine. I haven't touched the game since TG ended. and I barely played it before that since around Jorge's release. Who cares.Originally Posted by Girl2Good Go to original post
So because you are at a greater risk to what's going on others should be in the same boat is you? That's insane. That's like saying because you went into debt to pay for school others should instead of making higher education more affordable. That's incredibly short sighted and self centered. For honor isn't going anywhere. It will still be around when stuff gets better. Play something else in the mean time if you can't enjoy FH.
