Hi all,
After the new update was released my Uplay continued to have 'update' as an option instead of 'play', which had me thinking that the update didn't download, and so I read some additional posts and one suggested both uninstalling the game and uninstalling Uplay. I have since done both and now when I install Uplay and log back in, I receive this error below. I have uninstalled Uplay three times now and still receive this error when attempting to initialise. My internet works fine with all other aspects of my life besides downloading off Uplay. I did have a similar issue before with Uplay in which my downloads got to 96% before stating that it couldn't connect, but now it won't even connect to download the game.
Unable to start download (Code 17006)
This could be due to the following reasons:
There was an issue connecting to one of our services.
Thank you in advance,
Kind regards,

Run the install as Administrator or it could be a firewall issue based on what you are saying...
Do you have enough hard drive space?
Enable Administrator rights
Try running the Uplay app with admin rights. To do that, right-click on the shortcut or the actual executable for Uplay, select Properties and open the Compatibility tab. Tick the 'Run this program as an administrator' box, and click on OK.
Run ChkDsk
Run chkdsk by opening cmd (search for it or press Win+R) or right click start menu icon and use Windows Powershell (admin)
In the window type "chkdsk c: /f /r". If it is the primary windows disk, it will ask you to schedule it for next boot. When you restart, it will do a check before get to the login screen. Partitions or other drives can also be checked this way.
Hey Adze,
Thanks for the suggestions. I have performed everything you have said, and still no luck, Its frustrating to say the least as this has only come about since the update. All other aspects of my internet works, TV, tablets, etc. I'm wondering if the game is trying to launch instead of downloading because the division 2 load window comes up with initializing, but then produces the error and the reason and. Oh, well, I guess this will stop me from playing for a while, so it may be a blessing. Thanks again for your suggestions.
Broken_touch now Fulcrums-Spear.
Well, after going through 5 videos online trying to reset my windows I finally found one that suggested I create a boot drive and DL Windows 10. Well, since I'm not technically savvy, I decided to use my 5TB hardrive in which 3.4TB had data on it (not anymore) until it all got wiped. 15 years of data gone. This all started because I go an error and couldn't connect to my game. So, looks like I'll be starting at Lv1 as saved game is now gone. Oh well, at least it fixed my issue. DL the game as we speak, so at least there is a silver lining to losing the data.
