    Can’t Download Update

How big is the latest update file for PS4? I have 66 GB of free space but it’s telling me I don’t have enough free space to download the update?

EDIT: Nevermind, forgot it had to have enough free space to make a copy. Guess it’s time to look into external storage.

My update was less than 1.5gb.

Try restarting your system or closing the game first. If you haven’t already.

Just remember when buying the external you can only use one at a time. I didn’t realize this and figured I could just add another when it filled but that wasn’t the case so decided to go with an 8tb external. Don’t want to make the same mistake as I did but then again I can always use the smaller external for other things

Same problem here. PS4, Digital version

At each update, I need to release +90 Go whereas the update only requires a few Go.
So, I uninstall 2-3 games to re-install them right after the update...

    Why?

I’m not exactly sure. I have never had this problem myself but then again I don’t have any saved games to my internal drive they are all on my external. All of my games are digital except the division 1 the rest are all on my 8tb external drive.

But that does sound like it sucks having to delete and re install games all the time

    Thanks for your concern.

But, I'm not planning on buying an external hard drive because of one game.

You can put more than one game on the hard drive. I doubt the division 2 is going to be the last game we all buy.

I’ve bought several since I bought this one not to mention the games you get monthly from being a PlayStation plus member. So it won’t be like the external drive will be going to waste.

Dirt rally 2.0 is one of the “free” games this month and it is nearly 79gb. I can’t remember what the other one was but either way it would solve the problem of having to uninstall and reinstall games for a 2gb update file and idk about you but the PlayStation store download speed have been crap lately.

But it is your choice only trying to make a suggestion. That’s all.
