Yikes. You sure you want to believe that?Originally Posted by gagoom. Go to original post
Not saying it is... but it could be fairly accurate, I mean a lot of those that where complaining about difficulty here on the forums where people praising TU7, refusing to adjust to TU8 and thought they where hot shots then. And if we're honest with ourselves most can probably agree that TU7 was faceroll easymode. So seems plausible some of them would take that faceroll easymode back by exploiting.Originally Posted by Merphee Go to original post
On top of that like 90% of the whinethreads here used difficulty as an excuse for exploiting saying anything above hard was basicly impossible, when any even remotely semi decent player knows that's not the case.
I also totally agree with the OP. I am here since the Alpha of Division 1 and I have always seen ranting and complaining. But the majority of threads was rather meaningful, filled with good discussions, possible solutions and great suggestions. Filled with content actually contributing to the game's health and overall status and enjoyability.
Recently, the rage concerning the well deserved suspensions and roll-backs flooded the forums – and while trying to put some effort into communicating with some people complaining, I quickly realized that this just wasn't worth it. Those people where all about raging and ranting, not admitting a single mistake and making up excuses ans telling lies in order to blame the devs and only them. Such people are bad for the community, bad for ingame experiences and are of no value for this forum.
So yes, I would be glad if they really left the game and the forums for good. We could get back to actually working together on fixing problems, discussing issues – or just chitchating about builds or helping lost and/or new players.
Good posts by OP and also by Escrit and Noxious above.
There are a lot of references and comparisons to Div1 in this thread. Div1 was a rocky ride, but at the end it achieved greatness. I've always believed that the devs on Div1 placed a massive over-reliance on the elite youtubers, and the "bad" patches (or at least the bad things in those patches) was as a result of only listening to this select few. At the end, with 1.7 but particularly 1.8 Massive (and the other teams) began to reflect more and more the views of the "common man" and this was good for the game.
Div2 has grown in complexity since Div1 and we have to realise that the bugs we are encountering are not going to be fixed overnight, or just in one patch. Those who are here for the long term will no doubt realise that we are going to have to tough things out. The bugs are technical issues that I am sure the team are working hard on resolving, accurate reporting here is the key to assisting the devs in this process. Raging will achieve little. The other side of development is the ethos of the game, the AI, the toughness, the way it plays etc of the game. We all have our opinions on this, and remember it was a slow process before we reached 1.8 in Div1. Be respectful, and state your opinions with evidence if possible. That way the team can learn from our experiences to improve the game.
Have to say, I'm finding it hard at the moment trying to complete the first manhunt on normal but I've never complained about the difficulty.
I've struggled a couple of times in the missions where I've died a few times and I've now failed with the final bounty three times.
That said, all my deaths are my own fault - a lot of it is trying to wait too long before applying an armour kit, but also just not getting things right tactically.
I'm more than happy with the state of the game and will try out the harder levels once I feel I'm good enough - or if I feel I've played enough hours, I'll just go and play something else as still got the immersive mode in Breakpoint to try as well as Borderlands 3 and State of Decay 2 (amongst others)...
I can't see you calling anything a win.....every patch has made the game worse. Bugs are left totally untouched, glitches/exploits are re-added after never really being fixed in the first place. We're getting balance patches on a game with broken AI which makes zero sense at all. First fix the AI from going postal then balance the gear. At one point the AI was almost fixed but they have just kept breaking them more and more with each patch.
You expect people to adjust to a broken game with hundreds of issues, some are totally game breaking and have never been addressed at all. Bullet registration has not worked since Alpha, it's never been touched. AI running through player models has never been addressed or touched. Both of those are game breaking issues that should be top priority.
So the threads about the game being too difficult should go away per your logic. We shall see.Originally Posted by Escritores Go to original post
I don’t think it’s too difficult. Too many bugs, but not too difficult.
