I got banned because one of my teammate used glitch , and we didn't know that until all of my team get banned . But the cheater in DZ did not get banned until now , so I suggest just play it yourself , don't team up with anyone , they just don't care and banned everyone might used the glitch .
The term "Spray & pray" comes in mind. Just do your thing & hopefully you won't get caught in the crossfire. I've been MM since March 2019 & no issues here.
Yet again... I'm not sure how I would react to the drone loop conversation from Ubi Support if my account gets popped in the future b|tch-hunts.
Hey Agents,
The team enacted one-week suspensions for players whose individual data showed that they had systematically exploited the glitch.
We mentioned in the State Of The Game that players would not be banned by proxy.
You should be safe to matchmake and play with others.
How will players know what glitches or bugs are considered to be punishable because everyone keeps saying things are glitches and others say they aren'tOriginally Posted by UbiT00n Go to original post
Listen, you can't trust the developers...at all! It's a fact...they are in this for money, not your satisfaction, that is why they are in business.Originally Posted by Failed2 Go to original post
Not only did they ban...they rolled back...AND if you were banned you missed out on specific things in the game, so in essence you were punished. Punished and punished again. Oh. And this Ubi-whoever that says these things probably doesn't have any clue since again I can 100% guarantee you that I know people who used it A LOT and didn't get banned and some who didn't and still got banned. This person literally referenced the SOTG which was horrendous...just pure drivel. Here's a recap...we got this 100% right BUT yea the game is broken in various ways and we made mistakes...IT CAN'T BE BOTH! This is honestly getting comical.
Did they kill the game? Probably not, BUT they have given themselves the absolute worst reputation and given their competitors tons of ammo. I don't think you will see an uptick in new players without some ridiculous marketing ploy, like dang near giving the game away for free. Also, they certainly lost people, new and old. They game will most certainly become stale, in my opinion.
Don't believe anything you read. But I have to agree to the post saying not to believe the Devs, especially. If you think these guys are right please also take into consideration that they are the ones that also say they are listening to feedback (but do the complete opposite) or that claim they're working on it (broken mechanics since release day).Originally Posted by Failed2 Go to original post
Just play the game. Have fun how you can while doing the regular stuff. Don't bite the Youtubers' indications (they'll show you anything for a view & subscribe). Do your thing, make up your build & play it how you want.
Repeating this same lie will not make it true.Originally Posted by UbiT00n Go to original post
Look - what matters at this point is that your reputation and credibility are tarnished because of what's happened - whether all of the content about exploiters not getting banned and non-exploiters getting banned are true or not is not actually relevant (streamers glitching and not getting banned w/video proof, so many reports of people not glitching and getting banned, nothing but canned replies to those appealing, etc.).
So as a previously banned player coming back because I do love the game and do appreciate all of your work into it, I won't matchmake because I don't trust you - and I think it's pretty hard to argue with the reasoning on why I don't.
So I have one request - from one developer to another. Please just fix the glitches. I know how hard and frustrating it can be to have seemingly unsquashable bugs but please persevere. If people aren't glitching, it *should* be safe for me to matchmake again.
TIA.
PS - Using software as delivered is not cheating but is exploiting. Banning players with no warning for a using an exploit is really bad form. Rolling back massive hours of play for a few hours of this is unconscionable. Maybe Ubisoft made the call, maybe you didn't have a choice because your options for trying to heal the community were limited, maybe you unintentionally caught some people in this ban that didn't do anything wrong because hey, no data analysis is ever perfect, maybe your lawyers are preventing any sort of public admission of wrong doing because of the resulting exposure (mine certainly would). But let's put this behind us, fix your software issues that led to this, and maybe even more importantly, LEARN from the mistakes you're not telling us about so that this can be handled better in the future --- since I'm sure you'll agree, even if only privately, that some planning, priorities, and execution on the right 'stories' now can allow more specific remediation vs broad strokes in the future and will give you more/better options to handle things. Cheers to your hard work regardless - I know how many hours go until a game like this and know that they are appreciated.
