Another thing to consider is that the combo of Striker and Shooting Range (before todays patch which supposedly fixes the issues with Striker) is not a great one (PC player here). I can't get Striker to fill up at all in the shooting range at all. Unloading on a heavy or named -> no problem to fill up the bar. (Using LMG)

Same for Steady Handed BTW, it's bit of a hit/miss (literally :P).

My main Builds are Tier 6 Skill Builds (Healing/Crowd Control) so I'd much rather use the Everlasting Gaze (Perfect Perpetuation), Surge (Perfect Spike), or the MDR (looks cooler, rapid fire rate, & stable)...

...but the Baker's Dozen has so much more stopping-power and can do so from a much greater range that I just can't justify using any other rifle.

Yep the other variants are trash.

M1A is just a monster , i use it with the talent that gives you 5/10% armour on kill because its way powerful enough you dont need an extra damage talent , Never use the Bakers dozen dont like the talent on it ...,
Yes with poor Hit Registration you Can,t rely on the ARs when things matter ,Shame because i love ARs also pointless using striker or clutch with bad H R , Wonder why its so bad in this game ? ....

I'm not sure the hit registration applies to high RPM weapons. I use the Mk16 & Mk17 (SCAR fan) & they're noticeable AF. The more I see the connected round animation on my crosshair & no damage reduction to the health bar the more I want to just disable every information on my screen until they fix this.

I did try the M1A, but I just couldn't agree with it. To me it doesn't feel as accurate or stable as the Mk17.

    I used the m1a pre TU8.

Infact I had 2 builds, one for headshot with breadbasket and another with boomerang and high chc.

So happy to see this becoming a meta in TU8.

Infact I swear the OP had the same builds, so why is he asking this again? If I can be bothered I can even dig up the threads.

Could it be that the MK17 is just garbage and the M1A is balanced.
Classic m1a deals damage higher than any MMR due to overall gear balance. It has faster RPM, larger mag size, higher Handling.

    Yes, it must be nerfed.
I had a god rolled Baker's Dozen and classic m1a at March 6th and it was a faceroll even then, without any sort of a build.

    Rifles need an overhaul overall.
    1) Every rifle with RPM 300+ should be a burst rifle. 2 or 3 shots in a burst.
    2) Classic m1a should be only slightly stronger than other versions of m1a.
    3) High RPM rifles could get an additional BASE crit damage increase. For example, SIG have 60% CRD instead of 50. Urban MDR have 70% HSD instead of 50. And so on. So, why not improve those stats on them. Let's say, LVOA-C transform into a 2-shot burst rifle with RPM ~350 and base crit damage 75%? SIG 716 could be a single shot rifle with the same damage as on live, but HSD and CRD could be buffed up to 70% each.

As have I, PC is marginally better. Both are garbage.

It makes every other regular riffle obsolete. Just like the original MK17 did before it was nerfed. The exotic rifles are good if you build for them as well. The thing about the M1A is, it doesn’t take anything to make it a good. It’s good off the shelf and become a tad OP if you know what you are doing.
