I asked "Why do you use the M1A"

I asked 8 people in my clan "Why do you use the M1A"

NOTE: This is based on playing on XB1

And they all basically said the same thing......

    • The enemies are ruthless now in TU8 so distance is needed
    • The hit registration on high RPM weapons are bad
    • You need to keep a distance now in TU8
    • It's not as slow as a MMR and not as fast as a AR, it's middle ground so better hit registration
    • It's a good all rounder rifle compared to the rest
    • They would prefer to get to use a different rifle if the rest was buffed
    • It's not over powered, it just works better than the others
    • Lucky shot is needed on console due to the bad hit registration, fps, controller
    • Terrible at anything close quartered
    • Wouldn't use it if they played on p.c due to better fps, hit registration, mouse and keyboard

I must say i have to agree on most of it, i have played on p.c and the hit registration is completely different, topped with better fps.

So it asks the question, is it OP or is it a hit registration problem, topped with how ruthless the enemies are now?

Maybe it's just how the game is right now and people have found a weapon that they are comfortable with to overcome the above problems.

OP i don't think so, it's just a weapon that has found a way to overcome the problems with the game.

This is not a rant, i am loving the difficulty of the game, it's just a post to say "Just because a lot of people use it does not make it OP"

After using the Police MK17 for over a year as being the goto Rifle due to mag size and RPM, I tried the M1A (Bakers Dozen) and after an hour of playing with it thought "This is going to get nerfed. (Using Controller on PC)

It has WAY more damage than any other rifle in class.
Works well with best in slot Overlord kneepads.
"Luckyshot" talents helps you to ensure all bullets do damage and you're less likely to run out of ammo.
"Boomerang" on crit builds makes it even stronger.

No other rifle can compare to the M1A.
    (probable nerf at some point).

Nerf? maybe bring the MK17 in line?......that's the problem, if other weapons don't do aswell the answer is always nerf the one that is doing well.

Could it be that the MK17 is just garbage and the M1A is balanced.

It’s stable as well. I got the big horn yesterday and was disappointed at the damage, doesn’t work with Focus. I have a god roll Fenris Focus vest. Thought that might help. Didn’t. But it put my Bakers through the roof.

TTK with M1A is about right. Nerfing it will require an NPC nerf.

Hit registration is the same on PC , with auto weapons one hit one miss ,you see it with striker in the range it will not proc the weapon , same with rifles 2 hits one miss seems to be the outcome , and with NPC shooting and throwing from other side of screen, this is a lazy way to try and make game harder..

I have played on both p.c and console and can truly say hit registration on p.c is not perfect but is a lot better than on console.

I've had no issues with hit registration on my PC.
