since i prefer the sniper and the signature does LESS damage than the white death, why bother with the SUPER SPECIAL WEAPON that is completely useless?

Current Minigun is pretty useless - because I play on heroic 4 man + so using it is asking to die.

Technician RL - Yes. It works really well against black tusk bots + flying things
Survivalist CB - Yes - Best way to kill a tank and Warhounds
Sniper Tac 50 - Now Actually better than Nemesis so good for nailing a named boss
Firewall FT- Kind of Useless its good for CC but the damage needs a serious buff
Demolisher GL - This is good for gibbing spawns ( Requires you to know the map well and where enemies spawn and when.

Pretty much the Minigun right now is the worst signature weapon.
Put a little crit on your build and give it another shot.

I don't for either of my Tech or Sharpshooter builds.

They just don't seem to do anything.

the Minigun since its buff shreds Heavies on challenging atleast, not tested on heroic.

Flamethrower is in serious need of help. i actively avoid using it. the Damage aint amazing at just trying to even light em on fire is a freaking nightmare. even tho the cone of fire is like 50 degrees wide. the actually cone to light em on fire is like 5 Degrees. and even if you get the right angle it seems to take a few secs on firing to light em usually burning through 3/4 of your Fual in the Canister.

So far the only thing i find to be good about that Spec is the Shield variant that increases the damage for every enemy in front.
So Flame throwers require a special build
Have one gun use Perpetuation. Headshots give +50% status effect damage +50% duration ( Pistol is fine )
    Have a shotgun with ignited
2ndary could either be vindictive ( if you want to give the team a support buff ) or something like Close and Personel

    Gear items you want
    Wicked
Creeping Death ( not super useful except from door spawns or tiny rooms, door spawns it is super deadly )
    Unbreakable

With the right Combo fire becomes really great

I'm going to vote yes, in the sense of not using them, only for what some might find a strange reason:

I forget sometimes I have one.

    Yeah, that simple

This is in part due to the fact that when Ghost Recon Wildlands came out, another game by Ubisoft, you had three weapons in your loadout. Primary, secondary, and sidearm. Just like The Division. And the controls for swapping between them are identical.

Signature weapons didn't become a thing until TD2 so often I'm hard wired to believe I only have three weapons. Signature ammo also doesn't drop as readily, so when I DO remember I have it, I tend to overuse it.

I know it'll never happen, but I'd rather see something like the signature skills from TD1 brought back for certain specializations, or even a skill specific to the specialization that does not take up one of the skill slots and is activated manually, a la Borderlands, if any of you have ever played it. (Mind you I am aware of the skill unlock specific to each specialization, but again, this specific skill variant HAS to go into one of your two skill slots.)

Using the Technician ML at shooting range is very very sad...Weapon shows something 2.4m dmg in my inventory but at the DPS check in shooting range it hits for 6000?

I play Firewall shield build. I often use flamethrower to fry NPCs while my teammates are shooting them.
