I appreciate you listening to my rant.

I haven't personally tried another difficulty during my Manhunts because I completed all of Neptune on Hard, as well as all of Venus except Darpa. Combine that with the actual message in the map for Darpa, and there's no reason to believe that suddenly Challenging is the only difficulty that can work with it. I'll give it a try later today if this other idea doesn't work. I'm thinking my original completion status didn't get credit. I remember running through the original Story mode and a door was supposed to open with NPCs spawning from it. The NPCs spawned behind the door but the door didn't open, so I couldn't progress and had to bail out and restart the mission. I wonder if my status got bugged out that time and now it thinks I never completed on Story originally. So I'm going to have a friend who hasn't run it yet in Story pull me into their instance and run it with them, then I'll re-run in my solo instance for the Manhunt and see what it does.

Oh and here's further evidence of Difficulty for Darpa - here's the Mission options screen with very clean Manhunt messaging.

OK, last update: Finally got credit for it. While I was waiting for my friend to get on, I decided to just go old school. I dropped my global difficulty to Normal, and reset Darpa mission to Story mode. I carefully ran through it hoping the door bug wouldn't happen. I completed it. I then logged out and back in. Set the Darpa level to Normal (the minimum the text says) (Global difficulty is still Normal at this point), and ran it again. This time I had the "Exit to DC" interaction after the bioreactor cutscene. I had not been getting the "Exit to DC" prompt all the other runs. I exited to DC, and after respawn in the BOO, I got the Manhunt investigation pop-up, and Venus status is now updated.

So clearly there are some finicky interactions happening with this Mission in the Manhunt, and I guess if it doesn't get fixed for real, hopefully people find this post and can try some of these things to get unstuck. I think the key might be the "Exit to DC" floating panel next to the airlift platform after the bioreactor cutscene. It just wasn't there on any of the other runs that didn't give credit.

    Good luck with this, Agents!

I’m glad you found a “work around” for your problem and you were able to complete it.

    manhunt problems

I too have had some problems with the manhunt. i think with your case you have not done the mission before so it don't count. sorry just seen your post. i just got it done was hard going through solo. some missions don't complete if it has not been done before or if its restricted and some other crap.

I am on Hard difficulty. World map shows "Main Mission - Completed" and then just below that in yellow "Manhunt Mission available on Normal difficulty or higher. Map also shows Hard difficulty for my world tier. Ran it solo. Got "Mission Complete" notification at the end. No Venus status update. Check Manhunts - Darpa still shows 0/1. Fast travel back to Pentagon Library Safe House. Fast Travel back to BOO. Logout. Login. Run mission in a group. None of us get credit for it. Logout. Login. Run it solo again. Don't get credit - Venus still 0/1 for Darpa.
I ran the pentagon mission solo on normal thrn left for DC and it didn't count BUT last night ran it again then the labs with a friend on normal and the pentagon mission has counted towards manhunt but the labs did not so I plan on running the labs again tonight and hopefully it will work
