    PS4/ XBOX Division 2 plaers!

I own both the pc version and the ps4 version of the game, I am hearing with the new consoles such as X box series X and PS5 wont have The Division 2 for it...
Should console players abandon the game since it wont be playable on the next gen consoles?

This also goes for many other titles.
I thought that when the new ps5 comes out, people would be able to download this game to the new console and play it, just like upgrading to a newer pc? I could be wrong...

I understood PS5 is backwards compatible so it should be able to download and play all PS4 games at least

I was hoping the new gen of consoles would run the game better.

No warning on nades, seeing the incoming nades or the effects on the floor is wearing thin.

Where did you hear about no compatibility with TD2?

I think they both have backward technology. Think Xbox goes as far back as 360 and PS to PS1. iirc.

There are currently 2 games coming to Series X, but that only means that early adopters will be able to play 2 games at full glory the hardware provides.
The rest will be the same as on X1X or X1.
Backwards compatibility will sort it out.
Load times should be faster though, because of the ssd.
Not sure about games with different modes like performance (60fps, 1080p) and quality (30fps 4k), i think they will have these values capped even if the console would support 60/4k, simply because the game engine is not optimized for Series X.
Although a simple patch might sort this out with some titles.

So dont worry, most things will stay the same.
