I am not a top 5% player. Never will be. Myself and the other players in my clan have started stepping into heroic missions as challenging wasn't overly challenging anymore. I don't have a problem with the difficulty. No respawns is good, although it makes the revive bug more than annoying. The only thing that annoys me is that on wipe you are sent so far back, sometimes to the beginning, to reclear areas, some of which are quite easy comparatively. After a couple of wipes the time spent getting back to the problem area starts to add up.
I know many people's response will be "get good" or "learn to play", and that is fine. I know the mechanic is there to penalise wipes, and that's fine too. But when a mechanic stops a player from progressing, not because they're not good enough but because they can't be bothered, it becomes a little less fun and more of a chore.
Completed Roosevelt Island on legendary last night, took an hour and 24 min. Wasn’t our first attempt, but finally got it done.
We then got ballsy and said hey let’s try Capitol building. Made it to the final room but couldn’t get it done.
Point is both levels had a check point at the final stage, so why wouldn’t all heroics?
