Don't Blame Massive, Blame the Cheaters

I've been following the what's been going on the cheaters and exploiters intentionally have been using the bug and have been encouraging other people to use use it in their videos. Youtuber born2game seems pretty bad for it, he keeps making out massive to be the bad guys. It's true that this virus has restricted alot of game development and bug fixes allowing them to act quickly. I believe once this virus settles down Game developers like Massive will do better

Well the bugs were released before the major pandemic started and this content was being made since last year so...

Agreed. They were so money hungry to put out WONY that they have pretty much ignored every single bug in the game all year long.

I don't disagree with your points, but the pandemic shouldn't be slowing them down. They are in jobs that can be done remotely just as effectively as in the office. In fact, when I was a developer I got far more done in my home office than I ever got done going into a physical office.

Businesses should have given forethought to this scenario, and how they would continue operations, and whatever infrastructure and such that is needed should be in place. For example, a remote access solution that puts the remote user right onto their office PC. Or, a virtual desktop in a properly designed and operated VDI plant. There is little excuse for not having the infrastructure to continue operations in this scenario.

Then there is the devops and continuous integration tools and processes that should already be in place.

So if they really are slowed down in operations, I don't blame the pandemic for that -- it is a technology management failure.

How about since us "Exploiters" are so bad and ruining this game..Massive could just give an option of a full refund with a permanent IP ban. I'm sure majority of us would gladly take out business somewhere else

That's why there have been so many hot fixes - fixing so many bugs.
Because when you ignore bugs they get patched by the bug fairy.

    It's science.

Why on earth would they do that when they can just perma ban cronic exploiters and keep the money. They get the same outcome.
