This guy is 100% utterly clueless. He uses Destiny 2 as a reference for his Argument on a failed game that had to go Free 2 Play to survive.
Why not compare it to World of Warcraft?
A bunch of raiders used a Layering Glitch to go under the map to skip the dungeon and go to the final boss.
What happened to them you ask?
6 Month Ban + Loss off all Items from the Dungeon.
Can you guess which game is more Popular and More Profitable of the 2?
No, Devin, it isn't "Bad Business", companies that ban glitches seem to be doing overwhelmingly successful.
LoL + DoTa 2 - Regular Ban Waves, decrease their popularity? No.
Apex Ban Wave Decreased their Popularity? Nope
Fortnite Ban Wave - Decreased its Popularity? Nope still insanely profitable.
.The reality is Cheaters like to think they are in the majority and can make a "Difference" in reality they are a minority that won't even make a dent in the bottom line, they are simply noise pollution - or in the case of forums - text pollution.
First off, not all exploits are the same. It's that simple. Some are so unnatural that it's just easy to spot them. This was one of them.
Secondly, what is up with folks now trying to cheat and bemoaning when they get punished. I'm sorry but I honestly am asking. What the absolute **** is wrong with you? I get that these same people that follow Ninja and "FaXe" and want ol' dude to be unbanned from Fortnite when he recorded himself playing with an aimbot then got perma-banned from anything Fortnite related. That dude was asking for trouble because he was a *******.
As for the exploit itself, I'm not surprised that they did not find that bug in any play-testing scenario. It relies on numerous variables to be done correctly. There is no way, you'd do those things naturally or come across it by accident. That's another thing, if this was something that could accidentally be done by majority of players in natural gameplay, you would not see a ban because it effects everyone. This xp bug will probably not have any bans because it effects largely PvE not PvP. So, just find a corner and cry quietly. No one wants to hear what you have to say.
The bad for buisness part I can agree on cause it's not consistent, and very selective aswell as random. It should have been done to all, and for a few years back, not starting now with random bans. The target xp glitch is also an unfair advantage.. 1000 shield lvls.. that's 10% in every stat xD how is that not seen as banable? It's permanent buffs, the dmg glitch dissappeared when you changed worlds/servers pretty much.Originally Posted by Agent_Ares Go to original post
See video about inactive accounts banned (random bans)

See my post above, it's 10% in each stat, that's alot xD and an unfair advantage, it's permanentOriginally Posted by Auztinito Go to original post![]()
It largely affects PvE. I won't have any comlaints if people are banned for the xp glitch but I wouldn't expect that one ban players. They may surprise me, though. Like I said, each exploit is different in any game.Originally Posted by toom526 Go to original post

Okay, this is what I think, a lot of people like hear that content. Besides, he get's his clicks. As others too... But bringing Bungie in is not the best idea because they have a lot of other problems with their playerbase - just look at the official forum, if you like.
Anyway, it's what I thought, the ban wave has a escalation curve and further "abbusing" will activate permabans. Honestly I can think of many stategies, but that's Massive's option and I have to play by their rules.
and again with the assuming ... 'you' dont know if everyone banned was guilty ..nobody but the devs do..(apparently)Originally Posted by Sokeavartija Go to original post
