Been through my ups and downs with all these games (and Borderlands and others, besides), but this situation is enlightening.
It's not adversity that defines a person (or a team, or a developer...), but how they respond to it.

I cannot believe Ubisoft hasn't stepped in and removed Massive from any decision making on this game. They botch literally everything. It's time for Ubisoft to realize what they are doing to this franchise and correct it. They can still save this game and player base if they stop this nonsense before Monday.
Ubisoft probably agrees with them? After all, Ubisoft are the ones that push the whole digital economy loot boxes into all their games. Exploiting like this trivialises content and reduces the need or desire to buy digital currencies to obtain what would otherwise be onerous to obtain.Originally Posted by chicagolongball Go to original post
I guess Bungie have short memories, because they've banned people too:

Nice onesided article. "The community is up in arms"... No... I'm good, thanks.Originally Posted by wolfelik3me Go to original post

But fwiw maybe Massive don't want Division to be the game known for exploiting, bugs and cheating. Division 1 definitely had that reputation and Division 2 was heading that way also.
If Division 2 is going to be service and not have a short lifecycle then yes they should accept that there are exploits and use the unlimited resources they have to fix them and having better structures in place for reporting bugs easily.
The only way you can get banned in Destiny2 is by using third-party software... so nope their memories are fine.Originally Posted by dagrommit Go to original post
in div1 cheaters using third-party software dont get banned..
100% right.Originally Posted by V.i.c.i.o.u.S Go to original post
This is an example how bad Division is. You can see a person cheating on Twitch using ESP, notify the CM, Support staff and the response you get is submit a ticket!
Do the same in a game like PUBG and you can see the person getting banned live on stream and getting salty about it.
This is not to say the Division devs don't care. But they lack the systems and resources to take immediate action. It's like they are wrapped around corporate red tape.
Wrong, a friend used 3rd party software to cheat back in TD1 because he was "Bored" and got perma banned within a few hoursOriginally Posted by V.i.c.i.o.u.S Go to original post
