Getting same error, so is my friend.
I can see and join others I do not know but my friend alway shows as offline when viewed in the cave camp.
When we send invites to each other and accept to join we are kicked off from the servers and get error: An unexpected error has occurred - INFINITY-00000
Has anyone found a fix?

HELLO ALL - I FOUND A FIX !!!!!!!!!!!
SO FIRST OF ALL LOG INTO UBI CONNECT AND REMOVE YOUR FRIENDS THAT YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO JOIN IN THE GAME and delete any groups/squads you have created.
Next go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher
in that file rename the cache file to cache.old
Reboot your PC
now launch the game - open ubisoft connect from the game and re-add your friend - then you will be able to join them in the game

update on fix:
Once friends have been removed and you renamed cache + rebooted
1 friend log all the way in to the game so that they are in the home cave then send a friend invite to the other friend - that friend who will receive the invite only log on to the home page DO NOT select your character to start the game, go to options and open UBISOFT CONNECT - accept the friend request then select join game from that same screen
BOOM it should join you in the game now
